Include a category labeled "OUT"
Configure the OUT category to display a Conflict message when an individual attempts to assign a task, contact, or appointment to an individual who is marked Out on a particular day. At present, there is no mechanism in place to detect the situation in which an individual assigns a follow-up item from Notes without checking the calendar to determine whether the individual has themselves blocked out. (With the category option of OUT, you could still include a description such as "Vacation" or any other information that the individual desired.)

Follow up activity should be in Linked Notes
Add the Follow Up activity button to all Notes fields. Currently it is in the generic notes field and when documenting a phone call, I can add a Follow up activity. However, when the Advisor Chooses Linked Notes within the appointment, there is no Follow Up Activity Button. So if there is a need to do something in the future, it is a separate step.

"Last Review Date"
Add "Last Review Date" to the Know Your Client fields. This is a critical piece of information for RIA recordkeeping and SEC compliance.

CRM Outlook linking
I was at a tech conference for RIAs this week and a number of CRMS automatically link outlook to the crm so meetings are stored, calendars are the same, etc. These CRMS (advyzon) link both so we dont have to work out of the crm calendar and can use outlook but everuthing populates seamlessly.

merge duplicate UDFs
Would be great if there were a way to merge duplicate UDFs. We submitted a request for bulk to RT and instead of putting the request into the existing UDFs, they put them into new UDFs. Now we are going through one by one and editing them. Ideally, there would be an option to merge UDFs.

Scan and save
I have a scanner attached to my computer. I would like to have a save option directly into redtail instead of saving to my desktop, uploading to redtail then deleting off of my desktop.

Lock Activities
It is very easy to accidentally move activities to different times or days when viewing them in the calendar. It would be nice to have the ability to lock the activity so it can not move unless you unlock it first. Could be as simple as adding a little lock button that you could toggle on and off.

feed updating
I just learned that when you Integrate your data from another vendor like Albridge the updating and contact creation is only once at the start of the process. It would be extremely helpful if this is a dynamic process so that anytime I open a new account or add clients RedTail will automatically create the contact as well as any changes I update to the client in Albridge they update in RedTail

Please add templates to Opportunities
Please add the template feature here. It would also be nice to be able to search insurance or investment companies we are using for each opportunities. It would make tracking commissions easier.

Color code workflows based on categories
It would be great to be able to color code a workflow based on the category type similar to the way we can with activities based on the type if task.

Add trustees to contact card if they are linked membership
This could already be a thing I am not finding, but it would be super nice if when we link a client contact as a trustee/executor, etc that they are added to the contact card for ease.
For example if I have the Owen Wilson Trust and his brother Luke Wilson is the trustee - it would be great to either have the contact card add a phone number from the client's profile. Or if it simply created a link to the client's profile on the contact card?Additionally, it could just be adding a space on the contact card…

Add multiple users to a note
Could you please add a feature that will allow us to add multiple users to a client note notification. Right now we only have the option to select one other user or a pre-grouped team of users. It would be helpful if we had to option to pick and chose different users to receive a note notification based on which team members are working on a specific client project.

Account Level Permissions
Have account level permissions. We have Financial Advisors and Insurance Brokers on our team. We actively team sell and often an insurance client may be shared between an associated person and a non-associated person. That non-associated person cannot have access to the securities accounts. Instead of creating 2 clients to work around this, it would be helpful to restrict permissions at the account level, so everyone can see what they need, nothing they can't and we have no duplicates.

See only tasks i assign
I want to be able to do the following:
Assign a task to a colleague (let's call him Bob) and see the status for ONLY those tasks for Bob that i have assigned to him (not tasks he has created for themselves)
Be notified via email when ONLY the tasks i have assigned to Bob have been completed

add columns to Home Screen of Contact Records
On "home screen" of listing of contacts, it would be very helpful to have at least 3additional columns: Date of Birth and Address and Phone Number. I have a fair number of clients with literally the same name. So having additional columns that I can see at a glance would streamline my day.

RMD -Beneficiary IRA at any age
The RMD report needs to be able to adjust for Beneficiary IRA at any age. There should be a field for this in the report. You should not have to go hunting for these accounts. Any one who holds this account has to take an RMD so it should pull into the report. An adjustment needs to be made in Redtail to show these accounts when running this report. OR a field in the filters so you can adjust the report yourself.

removal of Orion Planning from single sign on menu
Enable the ability to remove Orion Planning as a selection on our single sign on menu. That selection appeared recently. I do not believe we did anything to cause that to occur. That product is turned OFF on our Integrations page. I do not want to enable use of that product at our firm.

e-mail Filters
Be able to add to an existing filter to right from e-mail via a right from e-mail instead of having to go back in to preferences and then filter to add to the existing filter. Would save a ton of time and be wonderful if could just add from e-mail. Thank you!

Workflow Roles
We are reworking our Workflows and have multiple advisors and multiple support staff. We would like to be able to have one workflow that we use for each person and support person but it seems that we need a copy of each workflow per advisor and then per support person. There is an option to use roles to assign people when creating a workflow but that is not functional right now and roles are limited to advisors and not support people. If there is another way to limit the workflows by advisor and support staff, we are open to it…

spell check within notes
Would be great if a spell and grammer check program could be implemented within the notes. That way you would not have to copy and paste from another source.
