Workflows Report Columns: Advisor and Creation Date
We would like to see additional columns on the Workflows Report including an advisor column (who the client is assigned to in their profile) as well as a "date created" column, and a column indicating which user created the ticket.

Why am I limited to using a password with a maximum of 16 characters?
With the sensitivity of the information locked behind the User Name and Password, it seems a large oversight that users may only use a password that is 16 digits or shorter in length.

color code contact
Color code contacts - maybe even based on Status. It would be nice to know at a glance for Prospects where they are in our different workflows, especially with multiple people working on it.

Color code contacts based on their status or be able to choose a color. That way at a glance, you know what is going on with that contact based on a color.

memberships
When we have the status of Beneficiary, it would be nice to be able to run a report showing who they are in "Membership" with. At this time, we have to run 2 separate reports. One is a PDF that cannot be changed and the other is an excel spreadsheet. These then have to be cobbled together. This is a lot to do with over 400 people and climbing.

Membership reports - be able to run a custom export to excel with memberships -
We have a Status of Beneficiary and need to run a report that includes the Beneficiary along with their membership. Right now, we have to run 2 separate reports and cobble them together. That's a lot to do with over 400 people.

Contact Card to show Upcoming Appointments/Tasks
Enhance the client contact card to display real-time key information, specifically:
Whether the client has an upcoming appointment scheduled (with date and time)
Number of open tasks linked to their name
Reasoning:
This would streamline workflow by allowing users to quickly see important details at a glance without having to search elsewhere. It would save time, reduce back-and-forth navigation, and improve overall efficiency when interacting with client profiles.7 votes -

It would be very useful to have one of the trigger events between Zapier and Redtail was "Note Added".

date of linked document
I would like to see the date a document was added in the Linked Documents section. When I go back and need to look at a document, it would help to have the date it was added, so I know which doc is the latest.

We should be able to add new hires with email access automatically instead of the database owner having to call redtail to authorize
Each time there is a new user, the user should automatically have email history access instead of having the database owner having to call Redtail each time we hire someone.

Redtail Speak Group Chat Privacy
Chatroom groups in Redtail Speaks are not private. Anyone working in your organization can see information in a chatroom group they are not a part of simply by searching keywords in the "Search Messages" bar in Redtail Speak. I propose building a setting in so when you form a chatroom group you are allowed to mark it private or public, so the group users can determine whether uninvited employees in the company can read what is in the chatroom group.

Improved Functionality for Linked Account Detail Labels
okay soo I've been really diving into the account details section of client profiles (Client -> Accounts -> select account) and two request that would increase the functionality of the CRM for our firm.
Request 1:
PLEASE make this change. It's such a no brainer and would immediately improve the functionality and interconnectedness of the CRM.

Scrap Worflows and Start Over
Let's go RedTail. Improve your look & feel, functionality, and logic.
For example, Workflows are totally unworkable and forces practices to track processes in other applications, opening the door to your competition.
There are so many other applications that handle repetitive processes in a more logical and user-friendly method. Do some research and hire away some programmers, Orion.

Allow for automations to create activities
Some tasks don't require or aren't very well suited for a full workflow. It would be very helpful if we could use automations to trigger the creation of an activity when client statuses or other info is changed. It could work like it does with workflows, where you would create an activity template, then when creating the automation you would set the "Action Type" field as "Link Activity from Template". You would then select the correct template from a dropdown with all the templates listed. Thanks!

Add an option for a checklist in udf fields
Rather than having a dropdown or blank field etc, we'd like to have a checklist with 12 different line items and then for each contact have the ability to check off or even add notes to the line items

Add Annuity data into Accounts - the current set up does not work well with Annuities
While I am seeing people say the Account info does not work for investments, it is not working for Annuities either. It would also be nice to integrate with the companies. With the pricing change, it would be very nice to have this system work for us. Currently we are having to duplicate work and use spreadsheets, when it would be very simple to have the proper info in Accounts and a report to run from it.

test workflow
Please provide the option to "Test a Workflow" in the workflow creation screen. Currently the only way to test it is to add it to a client, try to use it, go back to the creation screen, edit it, add the newly edited workflow, etc.

Pinned Notes Should Appear On Client Dashboard
I came to add this suggestion but found it was already mentioned. Years ago. But nothing was ever implemented. It seems like it would be an easy fix and feels like it should be common sense feature, but if you have a note that is important enough that you want to pin it, why can't that note appear at the top of the Recent Notes on the client dashboard. Or at least somewhere on the main dashboard. Feels like it sort of defeats the purpose of highlighting a note if I have to navigate to another section to be reminded…
