Self-Scheduling Feature for Clients
This would be extremely helpful to our firm (and many others). It would give us the ability to do everything through Redtail and eliminate third party websites.
Using third party websites interferes with our workflow procedures and leaves a lot of room for error. If everything was seamless through Redtail, we could avoid workflow errors and missing contact links. Having a self scheduling feature would also eliminate synching issues that we come across a lot with third party integrations.
Features that would be very helpful, if self-scheduling would be implemented:

Create follow up from a note, when adding the note to another activity
Why can't we have the "create a follow up" from a note that was created under an activity? Many times we have an activity that has multiple steps in which have different notes and different follow up timelines. We know this was available until the recent update but are being told it never existed so we need to suggest as a new feature.

Feature to move and sort tasks on today page
I would love a feature that allows me to manually move tasks on the today page so I can put them in the order I want to do them. This would help me prioritize and move down my list of tasks rather than jumping around. I also wish there was a feature that allowed me to group tasks. To explain, we are going through a merger right now. There are tasks I need to complete, and then there are tasks that I need to be on so that I can follow along, take notes, and monitor, but there isn't always…

Family Categories and Status
It would be nice if we could specify Categories (e.g. Client, Prospect, etc.) and Status (e.g. Active, Inactive) for Families so that we can quickly identify those when running reports/searches at the Family level, as well as for segmentation purposes.

Exclude Attendee Import in Suite Sync
Suite Sync imports all meeting invitees as guests.
When conducting a large meeting with external guests, emails are blasted out revealing EVERY guests contact information.
This is both a security liability and an incredible inconvenience to attendees, directly impacting customer experience.We need to be able to (some combination of):
- Disable external attendees from being added as guests automatically
- Prevent guests from receiving notifications to changes by Redtail users
- Don't share guest contact information on email updates to other guests
- Mark meetings as Private in Outlook to prevent them from syncing to Redtail

Personal Profile Form
Personal Profile Form - Add an option to exclude a deceased spouse from the Personal Profile Form when printing it for a meeting. Currently, we have to remove the deceased spouse from the client family, print the Personal Profile Form, then add the deceased spouse back to the family. When the advisor is meeting with the surviving spouse, the Personal Profile form is used to review current contact info, updating Driver’s License Info, starting the review of existing accounts, etc., but they do not need to see the deceased spouse’s info on the form during a meeting.

A "Pop-Up Warning" when you open a contact's page
When opening a contact's page, it would be extremely helpful to be able to enable a pop-up warning of some kind that you need to click out of before viewing the contact's page. In another CRM that I've used, this was an extremely helpful feature. Not all clients had it, it was only if you wanted it there.
I used it for alerting myself and other staff members if there was something that was urgent and necessary for EVERYONE to know before talking to this client on the phone or emailing them.

Search by last name only
We've had RedTail for some time now and the only thing I really miss from old CRM is the ability to search by last name only. When I type in a last name everything remotely the same (3 matching letters in a street name or name of a town etc..) comes up. Sometimes I am scrolling thru 60+ names or more when I know I only have 3 contacts with that same last name. And some names,( i.e.Thomas) can be first or last names but everything pulls up. Very time consuming.

Activities should sort chronologically, not alphabetically
Currently, the activities tab sorts alphabetically which is really not intuitive. Especially if you navigate to this page by clicking "upcoming". When you navigate to activities from the "upcoming" button, you are thinking chronologically (at least I am), and because of this, you expect the top of the list to be your soonest upcoming tasks.

Give users the ability to change the tabs in the contacts view.
Allow users to choose which tab is shown first on the contacts pages.
Currently the "Past Due and Next" tab is shown. I want the "Notes" tab to be shown so that I can see the notes on a client, I do not use the "Past Due and Next" feature at all.6 votes -

Update Asset and Liabilities page to reflect the assets minus the liabilities for a total at the bottom of the page vs having to print the report to show the math

Create spouse contact record when editing marital status that auto links to initial contact record
For example, when a client gets married, we would like to be able to update their marriage status to "married" and be able to add spouse details in the same window. Thus, essentially creating a new contact record that is automatically linked to the initial contact record we updated. This could stream line creating contact records moving forward.

My Rep Chat takes up too much room.
With the new updates in RT, the text messages that come thru from My Rep Chat into the notes section now take up so much room. It gives a new section for each response, even if someone just said thank you. It used to be where the text stayed in one whole section. Now you have to scroll down thru the notes section to get what you are actually looking for. It would be helpful if this appeared smaller or if there was another category all together for just My Rep Chat text messages. Thanks!

Condense the notes that accumulate under individual contacts. For instance, every time an activity is completed, a new note is made that takes up space. It then takes time to scroll down through the archived notes when one is looking for something specific. We manually are having to delete all of these "completed activity" notes. It would be preferable if these were condensed and didn't take up so much visual real estate space cluttering up archived notes. Maybe they could even be set to auto delete after 30 days.

Combining Workflows
Create a section in Workflows that allows us to combine workflows into a big workflow of workflows, similar to how mind mapping software is set up. Then allow us to search clients & see which workflow they're currently in, where they are in the client process across all the different workflows, and who is assigned responsibility to that specific task for the contact. Then add the ability to see all contacts across the client process and which workflow they're currently assigned to.

Add “After the previous step” button to “Step Due” category in a workflow
The workflow needs an option to set a steps due date a certain amount of time after the previous step has been completed. This is an issue I see comments for back in 2020 and the issue is still not fixed. This is such a simple fix that would only require an added button to the "Step Due" category!
