FINRA Rules now requires that we use only approved reporting for clients so beneficiary report can not be used with clients
With FINRA Rule Change our Broker-Dealer will only allow reports on market values to be given to clients through our reporting system. Our office used the beneficiary report for clients but since this report also lists the value of each account we are no longer able to give it to the client. We need to be able to print this report with no values and only beneficiary information

Active Contact Age Demographics
Active Contact Age demographics.
-Valuation analytics uses the average age of a practices clients to determine what the value of your practice is. This is very heavily weighted to determine the true value for succession planning and currently, Redtail only shows the age of ALL clients that have ever been entered in the data base, instead of just active clients.3 votes -
Spouse link - default button to save a search and a click
Wherever we have the ability to link multiple contacts (workflow, notes, activities etc.), I'd like to have a button that automatically links to the contacts spouse, IF the contact has a listed spouse in the database. 99% of the additional contacts that I link are the contacts spouse, and it'd be great not to have to search for the contact every time.

Be able to change a contact ROLE, while not a database admin
For some reason, we are not able to edit a contact's roles (ie, advisor etc) once they're an established contact, unless the user is a database admin. Please change it so anybody can change the role of an existing contact.

Viewing team members inside a workflow - hover and pop up
If a task is assigned to a team, I'd like to be able to hover over the team, to see who the member(s) of that team are.

accounts tab
Under "Basic Information" the "Company" field... it would be super cool if you would make it a "live" field that connects with the contact page of the company. And then on that company's page, perhaps we could eventually see all the accounts linked with that company.

A way to set business hours, so activity update notifications via Notify Team only come through by email during that time frame.
I work after-hours, and update numerous activities at night or evening time. I would love if there was a way for users to set their own business hours in Redtail (not from their email), so I can use the Notify Team feature as I go without bothering them.
(My current workaround is to mark the activity title with a symbol, then the next morning, go back into each task I updated, and select Notify Team, then save it again so they're notified.)
The suggestion would be to implement a way to delay the activity notifications so they are not sent…

Ability to add more than two people as account owners
When assigning ownership of an account to a contact, you can currently only assign two owners. I have several accounts with 3 or more owners, so the ability to add more would be nice.

custom export- spouse
For “Spouse” in Custom Export… include Employer as a field (since Job Title is already an option there). It would be so helpful to have this field as an option.

Activity Location and Attendees need to show in Notes once an activity is saved & complete
Activity Location and Office Attendees need to show in Notes once a meeting activity is saved & complete. This would be helpful for future reference to know which advisor met with client and where did they meet.

Orion reports requested in Redtail
When in a contact's accounts on the Orion tab & a report is needed the contact/account information has to be re-keyed in. It would be a nice time saver if the fields would fill with the contact/account information.

recurring activity selecting end date
When selecting the end date for a recurring activity, how about putting the the start date in the calendar box? Currently it is November and I created a recurring activity for January. When I go to select the end date, it starts with the current date in November. There is no case where a recurring end date would be before the start date.

Can he birthday alerts have a setting to where it's a month in advance, not just same day?

Add a custom export field for created by
With multiple people working in a database it's important to be able to export in mass and audit the contacts created. Custom exports should allow a line for who created/added the contact into the CRM.

Enable drag and drop ability for documents from outside websites such as PlanMember into new imaging.
The drag and drop feature would be much more useful to us if it allowed documents from outside websites to be added without having to download the document, rename it, and then upload it to imaging. Pulling the documents correctly named straight from the PlanMember website would speed up processes exponentially.

Accounts - Transactions- Trade type
Please add "EXCHANGE" & TRANSFER" to the transaction trade type. I'm sure other advisors use exchanges and transfers from time to time.

Recurring meetings and synching issue
Recurring meetings and syncing issue.
I just called the help desk along with the owner of the company. When a recurring meeting is scheduled through Outlook, it is not populating or syncing with the Redtail calendar. Even doing a manual sync will not help. According to the rep we spoke with, this is a known issue that Redtail is NOT willing to fix. That is disappointing to hear as we feel that Redtail doesn't care for their clients, even though our rep said they did. If they cared about their clients, they would offer a discount for their product's inadequacy…3 votes -
Asset ID on Account Exports
Include the AssetID on Account Exports when assets are selected on a Report. We cannot currently update assets on accounts without this information.

New contact from with household permissions
When selecting "Add Dependent" from a Household, to create a NEW contact you are not given the New Contact screen. A contact is simply created without the option to edit the contact prior to creation. If you use permissions to divide your database, this results in a user who is unable to see or edit the new contact they just created.
The two solutions I can think of; Give the option of creating the new dependent via the new contact screen, where the user can set their team permission. OR have the option in settings, to give new dependents created…3 votes
