Dark Mode
Redtail finally added a dark mode! It would be ideal if it was black instead of gray though. That way it would look more like the dark mode with Dark Reader (the google chrome extension). Even better they could add an extra mode that is darker. (Sort of like Twitter's Dark Mode: Dim or Lights out). It's still too bright with the mode redtail just put in.

Attendees activity updates
Allow attendees to comment on the description in an activity, while saving it in a separate box so information won't be overwritten accidentally. This will have their name and timestamp along with their update. But keep as part of the activity so we have a record of original activity followed by updates.
Wealthbox has this feature that team members have commented they liked at prior firms.

Create Linked Activities, documents, linked accounts from the aggregate notes on today list or notes by contact
Currently on the aggregate notes page under each note, the actions link, you only have the option to print or delete. Why don't you have the options to link an activity, document, account or note, like you do when inside a contact record? You also can't do any actions the notes by contact report. It would be very helpful to be able to look over the days activities in aggregate and then link activities to them without having to go in and out of every contact in the list. Notify users when comment added to a note
users can notify team members when adding a note to contact, but that option is not available when adding comments. Should be consistent.

Tax qualified
Currently when adding account type and tax type the "tax qualified" check box is automatically checked after you select a type from the drop down. Please give us the ability to not have this automatically checked.

ipipeline integration
Please look into a iPipeline integration for advisors who use a brokerage general agency for many carriers and can see their book of business in ipipeline. It would be great to merge that data into their contact records

We need a report that will allow us to report on all user activity. We use Redtail to track our internal processes, so I would like to be able to pull one report showing all of the activity that a user has done, including: Activities created/completed, notes created/commented, workflows created and completed, workflow tasks created and completed, login dates/times, etc.
If the action taken is linked to a contact, I would want to know which contact it was linked to.

Please create a function that can move documents from the CRM into the linked imaging folder.

When tagging additional contacts in a note, any contacts that autopopulate should be BEFORE the "Add new contact" option. Not after.
When I go to tag an additional contact, I begin typing their name (e.g. "stev" for Steve). If I have 1 contact named Steve it should populate that name above the "create new contact" option so that I can hit enter as soon as I have the name partially typed

Task Lists
Would like a daily running list of tasks to complete on the side of the calendar with the date started, the task and a quick note on the
progress.When completed I would like to be able to put a line through the task.
Also, below that daily list maybe a monthly or quarterly or yearly list.
I would like to be able to customize the label on those lists.
Last, prioritizing with simple numbers 1-5.I DO NOT WANT THEM TO SHOW UP ON THE CALENDAR.

workflow pages
Please give the option to move from one page to the next or previous page at the TOP of the page. We should not have to scroll all of the way to the bottom of the page to get to the next page.

Add Duty of Care prompt or permit UDF that includes a prompt
Either add Duty of Care prompts or permit UDF that includes a prompt. For example, I need to answer for every account the following questions:
Please describe the new product(s), new strategy(s), or service(s) considered in accordance with the existing strategy of the account. Your response should include details as to how the proposal will achieve the client's investment objectives and goals based on the services and products available in the account and account funding.

This relates to the "Permissions" idea that has 143 votes as of now. There should be a default or permission of "all" for attendees on creating an activity/appointment/task. My assistant sets appointments and items for me on our calendars and I want both our calendars to look identical. Each time we set something on the calendar we have to manually check the attendees dropdown to ALL. If one of us forgets to select all, the default is to the current user and just shows up on that user's calendar. That causes issues. My assistant is new and still learning, and…

Organize workflows on the today page with the current task first
Similar to how the activities section is organized. Have the current task on the left side so it's easier to see what needs to be completed.

account name
When linking an account to a note, account, or document only the account number and type shows up. Useless! Multiple accounts are present and we need to identify the one or more that we want to link. If 2 contacts are selected and each contact has an IRA and a Roth IRA along with a NQ account or 2 we have no idea which are which. Accounts should also include the title of the account, not just the acct # and custodian

"Beta" Workflow Stage
There are only "Under Construction," "Active," and "Inactive." It would be great to have a "Beta" stage for workflows that are in a testing stage - maybe even with the ability to only allow specific users or teams the ability to use the workflow.
Right now our firm is putting "Beta" in the title, but there is no way to search and organize RedTail WF templates by this status and it just looks and feels clunky.

Automation Email Alerts should show the Linked Contact
Automations are very limited. To get around this, most of our automations are set to "email user." These emails don't include the Linked Contact for the activity that triggered it. There is way too much manual work to go find the trigger activity, when it's clearly attached to a contact and that contact should appear in the email alert!
