Make Activities in "read only" mode if someone else has it open.
If two people have an Activity open there is the possibility of losing data. If both users edit the Activity and save it, only the last changes saved are kept. The first one to save has their data overwritten when the second one saves their changes. This is a huge problem. If someone opens a Word or Excel document to make changes, and then another opens it - the 2nd one is opened in read only mode. Something needs to be updated in Redtail so that we do not have the ability to lose changes made to Activities!

let's talk Button
It would be great if we could have the option to either move the "Let's Talk" button that is currently in the bottom right corner of the calendar or close it completely.

Calendar Local Time
Please allow local time on the CRM Calendar to be the same as the local time chosen in the settings regardless of the time on the physical machine.

Dictation in Notes in Redtail Desktop
Please recreate that ability to Dictate in Notes. I previously used it, however it does seem to work any longer. Considering the importance of having documentation for communications w clients, I believe this is a significant time saving feature.

Print Workflow Templates
When creating a workflow template, please provide the option to "Print" your workflow template. This would be helpful when a team is working on creating the individual steps in each workflow.

completion of notes appears to other tagged team members in email the same way activities do
Whenever I have attendees listed in an Activity and they are set up to be notified of changes/updates/etc. when the Activity is "Saved and Completed", whatever is in the "Description" box will appear in the email that the Attendee is pinged with. Love that.
Whenever I want to notify someone of a Note on the system the email prompts the person I tagged to log in to view the note. I would love for the note I input to appear in the follow up email to my team member- it does seem redundant especially when we know it can be…6 votes -
Text Message
Would like the ability to filter out text messages when searching through client notes, or have text messages saved/captured in a separate spot (like emails are) instead; presently need to sift through dozens of text messages to find actual notes in each client file

active workflow tasks today
For active workflow tasks number on TODAY page in upper right, provide an option to toggle between:
1. Only show past due and today workflow tasks. No future tasks.
2. Show all tasks - past, today and future.
I really don't need to see future tasks and would like to quickly know anything that is due to today AND in the past. Thanks!4 votes -
client review date
Add a Last Review date option in the know your client section. Also have on the top bar of the clients page where it shows Next Review, Last Activity etc Have an area that show Last Review Done and be able to print a list of clients by last review date. If we can't easily track this info and access it for compliance uses the date base is not useful if we can't get this information easily.

Give us a link we can send a new contact to input their OWN data into RT. Right now, we send aform to them to fill out contact info - they manually type it out and send it back to us. Then we manually input it into RT. Why not just do the inputs once and have them populate their own profile. It's 2023, this should be easy to do.

'Assigned to' Activity Column Viewing
It would be helpful if the 'Assigned To' column within the Activities tab were able to be permanently expanded to show all users (instead of stating "3 users", for example, and list out the names).

Office 365 links to documents
It would be great for the linked documents section to have a prompt for Office365 or general weblinks. When you post a document into Redtail it becomes static. Posting a link would share the "living document" that we can then access repeatedly on recurring tasks or complex projects requiring more users.

Workflow task showing due on calendar when task is completed. Task colors do change when task is completed but still shows as due.
After completing a task, only the color of the task will change to show the task has been completed. Task still shows DUE at the beginning of the task, when in fact it is completed.

Employer Field - Add dropdown feature to list Employers the user can select from
Our office has dozens of group retirement plans. When adding a new employee contact record, we want our office associates to select from a list of employers. Currently the Employer Field is open to any text allowing office associates to enter employer any which way. For example. IBM may be listed as IBM or International Business Machines or Intl Bus Machines. Because we use the employer field in creating quick lists, it is not useful if the employer field is not entered consistently. This is why I suggest a dropdown. add ability to sort / filter activities by a contact's status or contact's category (e.g. segment)
we have our clients segmented into 4 categories and it would be really helpful to be able to look at activities, especially past due activities by client segment. If we could filter the past due activities by contact category that would allow us to to see what outstanding activities remain by client service tier

filter by occupation type
It would be helpful to pull a report for 'Referral By' by the contact type. For example, instead of listing the name of a CPA, just list 'CPA'. The same could be said for client referrals - once again, instead of the client name, just list 'client'. Furthermore, if it's a referral received from our company website, it would be nice to have 'website' listed.

Have "Owner" of a Workflow also be the "Assignee" of all Workflow Tasks
If I am creating a workflow, I can assign the "Owner" of the workflow to a specific user, but there is no way for me to assign the underlying Tasks to that specific user unless I go into each task individually.
There should be an option within the workflow template to initially assign each task to the workflow owner. This way, I can start a workflow, make a specific user the Owner, then all tasks will be assigned to that owner.
