Divorced Couples with Children
It would be extremely helpful to be able to list minor children under both parents when the parents are divorced. As it is now, it looks as if the father does not have any children (because they are listed under the mother), when in fact he may. This creates frustration when we think we have the information we need and learn we do not.

When adding notes to an Activity, I want a save button where the activity screen stays open so additional information can be added.

insurance license
Under Licensing, it would be nice to have a section to record agent's state insurance licenses, including state, number, effective date and expiration date, with the ability to set alerts (30 or 60-day) for upcoming renewals.

Deleting Tag Groups Should Be an Admin Function
The ability to delete a Tag Group should be an administrative function. Users currently have the ability to delete an entire tag group for our entire database.

Under Workflow Steps - Where the "Mail Merge" Option is, there should be an "E-Mail Merge" as an option
When establishing a workflow Step, it asks if you want to do a "Mail Merge". You should also be able to choose to do an E-mail Merge from a template.

Address Updates
When updating a physical address, it should reflect on both of the spouses contact records. It only updates both spouses if it is a "Home Address" update. It should update both spouses if it involves the home address, mailing address, and the home phone #.

Moving Driver's License under Contact Details
Make it so that the Drivers License Information is stored under Contact Details with their Social Security Number. During Tax Season this would be a big help so we can at a glance see if we need to update their information

Target Dates Based on Previous Step
It would be nice if I could sequence my workflows based on the PREVIOUS STEP as well as the Target Date. Example: My assistant submits paperwork on Monday and I would like to have him/her make a follow-up call 4 days from submission.

Last Client Contact Report
Our company depends on constant communication with certain stakeholders in separate companies. Ensuring that we stay in communication with everyone can be difficult, because we have to check each individual contact in Redtail to see the last time we reached out to them. We would greatly benefit from being able to pull reports on when each contact was communicated with last-- by meeting, phone call, and email. View activities by household
It would be nice if we could see activities per household instead of per individual contact record and marked which contact the activity involves (both, person A or person B). This would reduce lost activities per household without having to switch back and forth between contact records. Especially now, some household members handle their investments individually and some investments together.

Option to Automatically Generate a Next Review Date based on COMPLETION of previous Review
Allow us to set how often we want to have a review with a client and then when we complete the review, it would then trigger a reminder to set an apt at the specified time period FROM THAT DATE rather than from when you set the initial reminder.

activity in use alert
If 2 people are editing an activity at the same time it messes up what information is saved. There should be an alert like there is in word/excel such as "activity is locked for editing by user1, would you like to open a read only copy?"

Moving team notice; rearrange "Today" page
It would be great if we had the ability to customize and rearrange our "Today" page, ideally to be able to move Team Notices to the top so they are seen even above tasks.

Notify User
Our office likes to notify other employees in our office of recently added notes, basically just "FYIs". I know we can notify a users or team when we are creating the note, but I seem to forget to do so until right after I save the note.
I would love if Redtail would add "Notify User" as one of the Action Items after a note has been added/saved.
As of right now, if I want to notify a user and I forgot to do so, I have to delete the note and copy and paste the info into a new…28 votes -
put date on all notes and activities not "today"
Put date on all notes and activities instead of "today","last Monday", etc.
When looking at a printed note at a later date, there is no way to know what the date of the note was when it shows "Today at 4:22pm".
The date from day one will save confusion over what date was last Monday, etc.....28 votes -
Hyperlink directly into activity from email notification
We get email notifications when someone has updated an activity, however, there is no hyperlink in the notification email that would easily connect you to the activity for your reply.
Adding a hyper link option in the notification email would save a number of steps.
Current process...
1. Get the email, read the activity and prepare reply needed.
2. Open a browser, go to redtail.
3. Navigate to the client.
4. Find the activity and click on the activity to open it.

Please add a function to Filter Activities by Category on the activities dashboard. Currently, we can only filter from Calendar view.

LinkedIn - Contact Import
Be able to choose contacts and their information imported from LinkedIn or other sites to the CRM without having to manually enter in people information.
For example. I'd be able to click the names of people I'm connected with in LinkedIn to be able to be uploaded to the CRM as potential leads for me to contact
