  1. Please add "Non-Qualified" and "Non-Qualified Joint" to the drop down menu, for when tax qual. box is NOT checked.

    The drop down menu is active even when the "tax qualified" box is not checked. It therefore should include options for "Non-Qualified" and "Non-Qualified Joint." We should not have the sole options of using "other," or simply leaving this field blank.

  2. Break out Income more so we can differenciate Earned Income, Social Security, Pension, and Other to align with reality of financial planning

    Instead of just using "Adjusted Gross Income" under the Financials section of "Know your Client" please add additional breakouts for earned income, social security, pension, and other! It is very important for advisors with fee-based and planning based practices to record the breakout...not just one figure, and going through the trouble of making User Defined Fields when not necessary is inefficient.

  3. Keep formatting on notes in Timeline

    I make neat notes with bullet points, but the timeline view takes away the formatting which makes my notes look ridiculous and incredibly hard to read. I format my notes to make them easier to read/make information more accessible. Please give me the option to keep my bullet points/bold font/ etc. in the timeline view.

  4. Things to Do Today

    The items in this section should remain on "today" until either completed or the deadline that we create has passed. For instance if I create an item yesterday to be completed by tomorrow, it's still a "thing to do today" and not yet "past due" or "upcoming". If this can't be changed, this section should be changed to "Activities CREATED Today" to be aptly titled for what it is doing. If changed, this would be a very useful working task list.   5. recurring opportunity

    Option to create a "Recurring Opportunity". This would be helpful for IRA/Roth annual contributions. Or any account that a client is adding an amount to on a periodic basis. Right now, I have a recurring "Task" but I have to create the opportunity each time in order to track it. Recurring Opportunity option would alleviate this double input.

  10. personal profile form w/ UDF's

    It would be great to be able to have User Defined Fields available to print on the Profile Forms. We really like to get some additional information from our clients.

  13. Attaching an email to a client record (without the client email address included)

    The ability to attach an email to a client record (for which the client is not part of the thread) would be extremely helpful, instead of copying and pasting into notes.

  14. Workflow Template Filter Option

    Allow the filter to only show active workflows by default. Every time I go in, I filter my active workflow templates, go into one of them, and go back to the template list and I have to filter again. I do not want to delete the other ones, just want to remove them from view until I actually want to see them.

    I continue to get client anniversary reminders on terminated clients even though I have entered their client termination date.

  16. Email Notifications- Activities vs. Notes

    Currently when a user marks a note with the "Notify User/Team" the User/Team gets an email with a link to log in to Redtail to view the note.
    Unlike an Activity when saved and completed the Title and the Description are completely displayed in the notification email.

    Can we have the notes fully display in the email. This would help keep teams all on the same page (especially when working remote).

  17. search bar

    I used to be able to enter a phone number or address in the search bar and the client would come up. It doesn't seem to do that now, did you take that away? I found it very helpful (esp when caller ID shows only the number.) If it is no longer available I would like to suggest it be re-added.

  18. Please add ability to edit notes

    Because we cannot see client information behind the note, we have to often flip back and forth (save note, get add'l into, go back into the note to add comment. It would be much better to allow us to edit the same note rather than doing comments (which are hidden) or posting multiple notes for the same call/interaction. If it's a compliance issue, then set something like 24 hours to be able to edit a note before it's locked.

  19. Customizable Landing Page

    We are requesting the ability to create and modify a custom landing page in Redtail. There are a number of fields we'd like to view on one screen prior to meeting, and while meeting, with clients. A few of the fields we'd like to see at once are as follows:
    • Name
    • Address
    • Phone/Email
    • DOB (age)
    • Children’s names
    • Accountant
    • Attorney
    • Insurance Agent
    • Stand-by- YES/NO
    • Review Date
    • Account Types
    • Account Model
    • Latest Tax Return on file

  20. Household names and labels

    When linking a household and creating a name there is only a "Spouse"/Married label. This creates inaccurate labeling for our life partners or other significant others. Please allow us to adjust those labels at the top of the contact record rather than having conflicting information - Married at the top, partner below.
