Outlook email to Redtail integration for adding tasks
It would be really nice to have an Outlook to Redtail integration that would allow us to create tasks/activities/notes in Outlook, from emails, and add them to Redtail contact records.

Mark Activity Incomplete or Canceled
Some activities never get completed, because we don't hear back from a client/prospect or the client/prospect changes their mind. Right now the only option is to make a note in the description and mark it as complete or delete the activity outright.
I would like to mark an activity either Incomplete or canceled to close out the activity, because it is never going to be complete. This would allow me to keep track of essentially wasted work and unresponsive clients. Also, it doesn't make sense to show an activity as completed when it wasn't. Thanks!

Ability to do a keyword search through notes, and ability to search for notes added during a specific time period.
We have times we don't remember which client we submitted a note for, so to search for the keyword in the notes category would be great. Or even search for all of the notes submitted during a specific time period. We can currently only view the notes submitted in the past week. What if we need to look at the notes submitted the previous week? There is no option, record, or list anywhere to access this.

UDF's at Household Level
I'd prefer the ability to add UDF's at a household level instead of a contact level. Of if they have to be by contact, make them mirror each other when a contact is in the same household as another contact.

Moveable Chat bubble
It would be nice if the chat bubble that is in the bottom right corner of the CRM would be moveable to other areas on the screen or for it to completely disappear and be button on the top. When we go to the accounts screen, the chat bubble covers up the total account value when you scroll all the way to the bottom and you can't see the number.

Searching by client nickname
When searching for a client by their nickname and last name (for example: Bob Jones, instead of Robert Jones), it does not pull up the client.

Roles & Permissions Changes & Customizations
I've voted for many similar posts but want to reiterate how important it is for our team (not just admins) to be able to see who is assigned as a contact's Advisor, Associate Advisor and CSA. Workflow tasks are assigned to these people but our staff can't make sure their set up correctly.
I don't understand the point of having a Servicing Advisor and Writing Advisor AND THEN also the above roles? Why not just have those three listed on the contact's main screen. It's redundant and confusing. Simplification would be greatly appreciated.
We use different terms for our roles.…

LinkedIn - Contact Import
Be able to choose contacts and their information imported from LinkedIn or other sites to the CRM without having to manually enter in people information.
For example. I'd be able to click the names of people I'm connected with in LinkedIn to be able to be uploaded to the CRM as potential leads for me to contact

One Click Copy to Clipboard
In other industries I've used CRMs where I could click on address or phone for instance to copy to my clipboard for easy pasting elsewhere.

Dates on Open Activities list on client dashboard
On the client dashboard could you please list the date for that weeks activities. Once it gets to the current week it only states that day of the week. But when I am trying to confirm appointments and am in the clients account I have to open the activity to verify the date. I would be nice if the actual date is listed for all activities, even the activities that take place on the current week.

Allow recurring events to SKIP over NYSE and national holidays - show holidays
- Put NYSE (market holidays) and U.S. observed holidays on calendar
- Allow recurring events to SKIP over NYSE and national holidays and pick the next working day.
- Allow for a warning if an appointment or other is scheduled on a holiday

Reports > Contacts > No Contact > Add Writing Advisor Filed
We have 14 Financial Advisors... so this report is useless without knowing which client is serviced by whom. It would work much better if we could filter by writing Advisor.

Automation Triigger for Closed Accounts
When an existing account is closed, we have certain things that we need to do--particularly if a client is closing all accounts with us. It would be convenient if we had more automation options, including one that would trigger when an account was closed so that we could update our records and our file systems.

Add "Start Date" and "Date Previous Step Completed" as Step Due Anchors
I think it would be useful to add the workflow start date as well as when the previous step was completed as reference points for when steps are due. This would add flexibility to anchor when a step is due to days from the start date of the workflow, or from when the previous step was completed. Some steps are better anchored to start date, while others are better anchored to target date.
Many times, steps take longer than anticipated, and the existing workflow structure is not accommodating to this. Additionally, only having "target date" as an anchor for when…

Add Contact Roles as options for Custom Exports
Seems silly that you can't export a list of clients and see who their Advisor, Associate Advisor and CSA are.

search bar
I used to be able to enter a phone number or address in the search bar and the client would come up. It doesn't seem to do that now, did you take that away? I found it very helpful (esp when caller ID shows only the number.) If it is no longer available I would like to suggest it be re-added.

Office 365 links to documents
It would be great for the linked documents section to have a prompt for Office365 or general weblinks. When you post a document into Redtail it becomes static. Posting a link would share the "living document" that we can then access repeatedly on recurring tasks or complex projects requiring more users.

memberships
When linking contacts, e.g., parent to adult child, the terms "Linked Contact" and "Linked Contact is" are confusing.
1) Why not use "Relationship to this contact"?
2) If I make one contact the parent, shouldn't Redtail automatically make the other contact a "child"?33 votes
