  1. birthday reminder

    It would be nice to turn off the enable birthday reminders system-wide so only those clients you definitely want to wish happy birthday can be reminded. As of now you can bulk remove, but all new contacts added are automatically checked. It would also be nice to have an automation template that would email a certain person/team a day or two before a birthday call was required. So, "if enable birthday reminder is checked" then "email user/team".

  2. Account Information

    It seems the current "Accounts" tab under client contact is aimed at insurances. We deal a lot with annuities. Please add the following sections under accounts: surrender schedule, surrender charge, income benefit, death benefit, mortality and expense charge, administration charge, cost basis etc.

  3. When adding notes to an Activity, I want a save button where the activity screen stays open so additional information can be added.

    When adding notes to an Activity, I want a save button where the activity screen stays open so additional information can be added. Currently, after clicking save the activity screen automatically closes.

  4. insurance license

    Under Licensing, it would be nice to have a section to record agent's state insurance licenses, including state, number, effective date and expiration date, with the ability to set alerts (30 or 60-day) for upcoming renewals.

  5. Deleting Tag Groups Should Be an Admin Function

    The ability to delete a Tag Group should be an administrative function. Users currently have the ability to delete an entire tag group for our entire database.

  6. Under Workflow Steps - Where the "Mail Merge" Option is, there should be an "E-Mail Merge" as an option

    When establishing a workflow Step, it asks if you want to do a "Mail Merge". You should also be able to choose to do an E-mail Merge from a template.

  7. Address Updates

    When updating a physical address, it should reflect on both of the spouses contact records. It only updates both spouses if it is a "Home Address" update. It should update both spouses if it involves the home address, mailing address, and the home phone #.

  8. Moving Driver's License under Contact Details

    Make it so that the Drivers License Information is stored under Contact Details with their Social Security Number. During Tax Season this would be a big help so we can at a glance see if we need to update their information

  9. Target Dates Based on Previous Step

    It would be nice if I could sequence my workflows based on the PREVIOUS STEP as well as the Target Date. Example: My assistant submits paperwork on Monday and I would like to have him/her make a follow-up call 4 days from submission.

  10. Dictation directly into Redtail

    Dictation directly into Redtail would definitely be an uptick. There are a couple of closed suggestions showing that this has been completed, but my understanding after corresponding with Redtail support is that this is NOT a current feature. Please look into this. It is a feature available with Microsoft office and it would be extremely beneficial o dictate notes and tasks without having to use a third-party source. It takes at least 24 hours before Redtail notes are transcribed.

  11. Last Client Contact Report

    Our company depends on constant communication with certain stakeholders in separate companies. Ensuring that we stay in communication with everyone can be difficult, because we have to check each individual contact in Redtail to see the last time we reached out to them. We would greatly benefit from being able to pull reports on when each contact was communicated with last-- by meeting, phone call, and email.   12. View activities by household

    It would be nice if we could see activities per household instead of per individual contact record and marked which contact the activity involves (both, person A or person B). This would reduce lost activities per household without having to switch back and forth between contact records. Especially now, some household members handle their investments individually and some investments together.

  13. Option to Automatically Generate a Next Review Date based on COMPLETION of previous Review

    Allow us to set how often we want to have a review with a client and then when we complete the review, it would then trigger a reminder to set an apt at the specified time period FROM THAT DATE rather than from when you set the initial reminder.

  14. activity in use alert

    If 2 people are editing an activity at the same time it messes up what information is saved. There should be an alert like there is in word/excel such as "activity is locked for editing by user1, would you like to open a read only copy?"

  15. Moving team notice; rearrange "Today" page

    It would be great if we had the ability to customize and rearrange our "Today" page, ideally to be able to move Team Notices to the top so they are seen even above tasks.

    Activity Edits/Formatting
    I accidently saw an expanded version of activity formatting options when there was a glitch and now we want the options!
    It would be great to have options to add pictures, different bullet points, printing options before saving the activity, highlighting, and colored font options -- all similar things that you can find in word.

  17. Notify User

    Our office likes to notify other employees in our office of recently added notes, basically just "FYIs". I know we can notify a users or team when we are creating the note, but I seem to forget to do so until right after I save the note.
    I would love if Redtail would add "Notify User" as one of the Action Items after a note has been added/saved.

  18. Please make it so we can REORDER notes and edit the date of them!

    I often have to add in older notes but there is currently no way to reorder these older notes to appear in the correct order. It would also be helpful to edit the date of the note when I have to add an earlier date at a later time.

  19. Hyperlink directly into activity from email notification

    We get email notifications when someone has updated an activity, however, there is no hyperlink in the notification email that would easily connect you to the activity for your reply.

    Adding a hyper link option in the notification email would save a number of steps.
    Current process...
    1. Get the email, read the activity and prepare reply needed.
    2. Open a browser, go to redtail.
    3. Navigate to the client.
    4. Find the activity and click on the activity to open it.
    5. Write reply and submit.

  20. Attach document to template

    Would like to be able to attach documents to note, activity and workflow templates.
    Much needed in an industry whereas disclosures are required to be delivered prior to having a conversation with a client or prospect.
