Improve on the Workflow interface when creating/editing a workflow
The interface is very clunky and confusing when creating or editing a workflow. The field description for the tasks is small, and it is challenging to organize the workflow on a higher level. Would like the tasks/steps to be one line with the ability to expand on each if needed, or expand/close all to see the higher level.

view projected revenue on opportunity page
I would like to have the projected revenue be visible in the total calculated on the opportunities dashboard, not just the total projected dollar amount. This would be a way to track potential income, which is very important to us advisors.

seminar tag group
Add option to add contacts to a seminar via a tag group! When you have 700+ clients and are inviting them all to a client picnic, it is a pain to add them one at a time!

Adding account selection to workflows
Please add the option of linking an account to a workflow (similar to how you tag an account to an activity). This would prevent manual entry of an account number when working on a workflow that that is needed. For example, if the workflow is to move money in or out of a particular account, it would be nice to tag the particular account that is affected to the workflow. It shouldn't be mandatory to create a workflow, but optional based on account-specific workflows.

I need an option for my clients who are engaged. They are someone's fiancé. I wish I had the option to say that instead of "life partner".

Primary/Lead and Secondary/Assist "assigned to" options for Activities
I would like to be able to have a Primary and Secondary label for the "assigned to" individuals. We often have tasks assigned to two people and sometimes we duplicate efforts. It would be helpful if the creator of the activity could assign who he wants to take the lead as Primary or Lead. Alternatively, if I have an activity with two people assigned but the second is just there as an FYI, it would be great if I could say I'm taking the lead so the other person knows not to work the activity.

Filter Emails for only Redtail contacts in suite sync for Outlook
Using suite sync under emails & synced emails it imports ALL emails that are in Outlook. While it does a great job linking to individual contact records for emails, it would be great to be able to filter all emails to show only those emails that have been linked to my Redtail CRM rather than just duplicating all emails I already see in Outlook. It would be much easier to see these in one place at a glance to see what emails are related to my CRM

ability to edit notes
We would like to be able to edit notes once saved. We regularly have to leave for a meeting and save them when not complete so nothing happens to them. Since we cannot edit we must copy and paste and then delete. This is time consuming and frustrating.

Add "Last Review Date" to the Know Your Client fields. This is a critical piece of information for RIA recordkeeping and SEC compliance.

Duplicate Contact Report - Middle Initials
As a Redtail CRM User, I want the Duplicate Contact Name Report to acknowledge middle initials, so that the contact can be identified as an individual record rather than a duplicate.
Goal: The problem is a bloated Duplicate Contact Report List that is inaccurate because it can not differentiate contacts.
Benefit: This will provide clearer communication to customers and prevent communicate to the wrong individual.
Acceptance criteria: When the first and last name are the same, the middle initial is different which clears the names from the duplicate contact report.7 votes -
Link Existing Documents to Notes
It would be really nice if we could link documents that are already uploaded to the clients contact card to a new note. Right now, if I want to make a note regarding a document that's already existing on the client's contact card and attach the document for easy reference (for example, a trust document), I have to download the document from the client's contact card, and then re-upload it via the note. I then have to re-name it, and re-tag it, and we then have duplicates of the same document on the client's contact card.

Add customizable fields in Opportunities/ability to add or remove fields when viewing Opportunities
We build reports back to our financial institution for qualified referrals. It would be a nice-to-have customizable fields we can input when creating opportunities. i.e., if "referred by" was available within the opportunity. Source is already there. It would be nice to see who the opportunity was referred by, instead of hunting for it in the contact details. Further, it would be nice to be able to build our lists with custom data sets. Notification Emails need to be ENCRYPTED
We have been aware of this issue for a long time now, but I think with the climate today it has become IMPERATIVE that Redtail encrypt notification emails generated from created and updated Activities. I believe many Redtail users put sensitive information in the subject and description such as account numbers (regardless of whether Redtail thinks we should) and then that information is being broadcast to the world in an insecure email if notification settings are not all set to "no". Separate completed tasks from Notes
It would be nice to have completed tasks and notes in separate categories to keep things organized. Notes should just be meeting dictations and document random client requests. This way meeting notes can easily be reviewed and stored in one place, and you can easily access previous tasks if you need to relook at something you have done.
Also, you would be able to pull reports on InProgress tasks, completed tasks and previous meeting notes for the advisors7 votes -
Account Level Permissions
Have account level permissions. We have Financial Advisors and Insurance Brokers on our team. We actively team sell and often an insurance client may be shared between an associated person and a non-associated person. That non-associated person cannot have access to the securities accounts. Instead of creating 2 clients to work around this, it would be helpful to restrict permissions at the account level, so everyone can see what they need, nothing they can't and we have no duplicates.

licenses
In the Licenses tab, it would be helpful for the list to start out in alphabetical order. I think it defaults to when the record was added, which isn't very useful in practice. We use this tab to list all rep codes and license numbers for each of our advisors.
I know we can click on the Company header to sort alphabetical, but having this as the default would be nice!

Workflow Templates - Increase Viewable Entries per Page & Ability to Stay on Current Page upon Refresh
Give option to view more entries per page on Workflow Templates. Currently only able to view 25 & lacks functionality like contacts search has to view (50, 100, or more). Also, give ability to stay on same page when refreshing page instead of redirecting back to page one.

Plz Increase Size of Note Text Box
Plz Increase Size of Note Text Box!
-It's difficult to add large emails or notes into the text box and then make modifications as the actual text box itself is very small.
-Email chains can be very long, so we modify them to reduce the length of each note so we can find the information later on much faster. Sometimes i do this by going through the note and deleting my personal email signature. But it can very tedious and time consuming (frustrating) when i can only see a tiny portion of the text i just copied over.

A quick daily/weekly overview of "notes" and/or "comments" made from the day/s before.
My employer comes in every day asking what have we done and where are we with this person.
If he could just open up Redtail CRM and click a tab and it would give him an overview of all the comments and notes made the day before, it would answer everything he needs to know.6 votes
