referrals
Referral Tree
Presently, there is no way to create a referral tree, or to pull a report of contacts who have referred others.
EX: If Amy refers Dave, I can enter Amy's name (as text, not as a link to her profile) on Dave's profile as a 'Referred by', and I can pull a report that will give me 'Referred by' and 'Source' (which would pull Dave's records), but I can't pull a report that will pull Amy's information.The ultimate goal is to pull a report to see which contacts referred other prospects/clients in the past year, because we…

Attendees activity updates
Allow attendees to comment on the description in an activity, while saving it in a separate box so information won't be overwritten accidentally. This will have their name and timestamp along with their update. But keep as part of the activity so we have a record of original activity followed by updates.
Wealthbox has this feature that team members have commented they liked at prior firms.

Create RMD report using user defined fields
I need to use my client database to create an list of RMD clients using a) age greater than 73, b) User defined fields of IRA - yes, c) Auto RMD - No, Spousal IRA - yes, Spousal Auto RMD - no, etc.

Dark Mode
Redtail finally added a dark mode! It would be ideal if it was black instead of gray though. That way it would look more like the dark mode with Dark Reader (the google chrome extension). Even better they could add an extra mode that is darker. (Sort of like Twitter's Dark Mode: Dim or Lights out). It's still too bright with the mode redtail just put in.

Generate a report based on client category
For segmenting reasons, it would be nice to generate a report to show how much time we spent with certain clients based on their category/segmentation.

Calendar should always default to current day/week/month
Calendar should always default back to the current day/week/month. Just like Outlook, Salesforce, etc. When you jump to a different week and then over to a contact record and back to the calendar, it should bring you back to the current day/week/month.

Color on activity should have transparency or ability to only have the color on 50% of the activity box
The color of the activity should be adjustable to be transparent or only taking up 50% of the activity. We have a weekly activity that saves a 1-hour time slot in our calendar so that if a client has an emergency and needs to get in quickly then we have a time that is reserved that we can fit them in. With the activity being opaque in color it sometimes gets missed by admin who schedule because they mistake it for an appointment or task even though the color is different.

Being able to notify someone when adding a link note to an existing activity
There is no drop down menu in the linked notes section to notify team or users. Can this be added please?

Add CompletedByUserId to Activity Index and Activity Show API Endpoints
The Activity Index and Activity Show API Endpoints do not currently include one of the most important attributes of an activity, who completed it. According to support, the only way to get this information is to implement webhooks and track them as they are completed. This does not help for historical activities.
I highly recommend adding CompletedByUserId to the Activity Index and Activity Show API Endpoints. It is invaluable data for your clients. The activity reports native to Redtail already have this field available.

Tax Qualification on integrations
When a direct feed is set up from a custodian, the tax qualification and custodian should be included in the linked account.

Add a Writing Advisor tab to the No Contact (Fiduciary) report
When you go to run the "No Contact (Fiduciary)" report, you can't filter the options by servicing advisor. There is no tab that shows which advisor in your team hasn't had contact with which client for you to run a report on.

Group workflows together
We need to be able to group workflows. This is because the workflow list can get very long and many of the tasks may be on the backburner. If we could group the workflows, it would make things more organized and readable. Thank you

Workflow step order change
Allow us to shuffle the order of steps in workflows, when a template is used. If we alter the order of the steps when a workflow is created from a template, or add a new step that preceeds a current one, it does not work properly. It reads in the new order, but you must complete the original preceeding step before being allowed to complete the new one. This is very frustrating because even the best created templates need to be altered for specific situations.

Edit Contact Type
The ability to add/remove Contact Type options. For example, we do not use "Association" or "Union" - so we would like those options to be greyed out or removed entirely, so they cannot be chosen. We don't want any users to be able to assign an incorrect contact type - which is easy to do with multiple users creating accounts. This is more for ensuring data stays clean.

Calendar landing page timeline view
When I change the calendar view timeline, to a different week or month, then leave the calendar to view a client or something different in RedTail, I would like to come back to the current date view when I return to the calendar. Not where I had left the calendar timeline view when I previously on the calendar. i.e.; If I am in the current month view of July, change the calendar to September, then leave the calendar and when I return, I would like to return to original month view of July, not September.

Add a timestamp or timeline to Financial's
Under the "Financials" Tab at the bottom of the profile, it would be nice if we could see when they were last updated (and possibly add a 'confirmed' timestamp if the financials haven't changed) to know that they are current. As an office where assistants reference this information from the Reps and the Reps are often remote, this would make it so much more convenient if we could see that they recently updated the financials after speaking with the client.

Customizing default view of client documents
It would be extremely helpful to be able to change my default settings so that when I'm viewing a client's profile and I click on Documents, it automatically sorts them by recency--that is to say, for it to list the most recent upload on top--without having to click on "date added" every time.

Ability to run SQL queries on database
We need the ability to run queries off the redtail database so we can pull more meaningful data for key metrics and other critical business uses.
