Contact name needs to be a required step before adding an activity to the calendar
Too many times an activity or event has been added to the calendar (such as a client review meeting) without the contact name being linked. Yes, it is usually user error as someone will forget to add or is in a hurry. It should be required just like the subject is required to add to the calendar.

Account Section: Add another column (MISC) between Account & Type
We have investment/household investment data that pertains to 2 or more accounts. It would be helpful to have a MISC column that we can use to quickly view important related information at a glance. For example: The SEP IRA and IRA and both in Household 301 but the Trust and Roth are in Household 302.
If you make it a MISC column than anyone can use it.

UDF; remove the "Type" from view. It's only relevant when creating it. We don't need to see it.

Opportunity Templates
It would be really helpful to have Opportunity Templates that can be linked to specific workflows and that allow us to set up percentages for commission structures. For example, we frequently do annuity applications for a specific product company - if we could set up an opportunity template that included a templated commission percentage and automatically kicked off linked workflow template for the paperwork, that would make the opportunities section a lot more useful and would drive advisors to be more proactive about finishing paperwork because they can see a visual representation of how much money is on the table…

Either have a pop-up window, email or text notifying the user of an upcoming Activity 30 minutes (should be customizable) prior to the scheduled time. The "bell" notification isn't very helpful and I often have my computer speaker turned off so I've never hear the dog bark. Also I'm not always at my computer but I do get email/texts on my phone.

Rep chat comments
Currently, the rep chat info goes into the notes section. When looking for notes, you have to scroll through and it's cumbersome at times because some clients text all the time. Is there a way to have another section for that or distinguish rep chat vs true notes??

memberships
When linking contacts, e.g., parent to adult child, the terms "Linked Contact" and "Linked Contact is" are confusing.
1) Why not use "Relationship to this contact"?
2) If I make one contact the parent, shouldn't Redtail automatically make the other contact a "child"?33 votes -
Copy Notes to Spouse's Profile
Have a box we can check that will automatically copy the notes we are saving in the client's profile to their spouse's client notes as well.

show power of attorney on contact details
If client has a Power of Attorney, there should be a field readily visible on the main client record screen. A customizable field could work for this too. There should also be a way to link that POA's Redtail contact (not thru family set-up) to the client's contact record.

Know Your Client
It would be great if we could modify this screen to match the financial/risk/experience questions that show up on our compliance forms - some categories require in input, other select a range. We should be able to modify this according to our needs - it is toooo onerous to create UDFs for the information we would need to maintain

trigger event for outbound calls
Add a trigger event for "click" on phone hyperlink to initiate an outbound call, we could then automate opening a new Note in the contact file to record call details

When adding/updating activity being able to notify a user not just a team
When you add a new note you have the option of two drop down menus: notify team and notify user. I would like the same option for adding/updating activities, can you add notify user to activities please.

Personal Profile Form
We use this for appointments however, on page 2 (which lists all of the individuals in the household) it lists the account with each value BUT it does not give us a total. Please add a total. We can get it under Portfolio holdings but it doesn't list who the account belongs to. So, I would have to go in an ADD ownership info to EACH account. Seems like it would be easy to add a total!

notify option to create activity screen
Put the "notify" option on the create window versus having to "create & edit" to get to it.

select notes to move between contacts
The ability to select specific notes to move from one contact to another without having to move them all. Or, the ability to copy notes and have them keep the original date & time of completion.

Add contact/client names to appointments on calendar
When booking an appointment on the calendar, we need the names of the clients if there are 2 or more. If it is one name it currently shows it, but 2 or more (like husband & wife) it shows 2 contacts. We would like it to show all contact/client names.

Alert/warning pop up when clicking on client profile, if "caution" is needed
Clients who have big life events/fraud should be handled with care. Some team members may not have the time to "Dig" for a note they don't know is there and may cause more problems.
There should be a feature where a pop up box needs to be read/addressed when entering a client profile so the employee can "use caution" when needed.34 votes -
Workflows Report Columns: Advisor and Creation Date
We would like to see additional columns on the Workflows Report including an advisor column (who the client is assigned to in their profile) as well as a "date created" column, and a column indicating which user created the ticket.
