Automations IF conditions...
Why are we unable to use any of the IF conditions across the different trigger events? EX for a trigger event of Activity Added, I can only use IF conditions that revolve around Activities. A trigger event of Contact Status change will only allow IF conditions revolving around Contact information.
What I need is the ability to have a trigger of an Activity Added allow me to use IF conditions from Contact info, such as category, status etc.
Summary: If the IF conditions are available in one instance they should be available in all instances it seems.

Segment contacts by different colors on contact page
We would like to be able to segment clients in Redtail by a different color header on their contact record.

Allow Default Setting for Past Due Activities/Workflow Items
Please allow a default setting to view all current and past due items. Having to manually find past due items really defeats the point of having assigned items to begin with. Thanks!

Add a "Team" option when assigning new Tasks/Activities
We'd love it if you could add an option when creating a new task to assign it to a team instead of having to add individuals manually. When we add a new team member we have to go back through hundreds of tasks and manually update them to add the new teammate whereas if we could add a team, they would update automatically when we add a new team member to that team. This would be a HUGE savings of time for our company.

Avoid repeat reminders from falling on a weekend.
It would be nice if repeat reminders would avoid falling on a weekend. For instance, I have a client who transfers $2800 monthly to an investment account on the 6th of every month. So I set up a reminder on the 7th to invest her money. Some months the 7th falls on a weekend when the market is closed, and I have to manually set a new reminder for Monday. It would be nice if this reminder would automatically push to the following Monday if it fell on a weekend.

Autogenerated fields based on age criteria
It would be helpful if keywords, tag groups, alerts or notification could be live autogenerated by Redtail based on criteria predetermined (their live DOB )

Note notification - the note populates the email
When one receives an email with the subject "Redtail CRM: A new note has been added.", having the note populate the email would be helpful so one does not have to login to see the note.

Seeing more than one client on Tasks
The update that shows a person symbol for more than one client is not helpful. Please revert back to where you can visually see the clients

Show attendees in the meetings/activities in the calendar entry without having to hover over the calendar entry.

Retriever and Outlook calendar - link to contact based on email address of invitee
When using retriever, it would be nice if when synching from outlook calendar to Redtail that the meeting could be linked to a redtail contact based on email address of the people invited to the meeting. This woudl remove a manual step in linking the contact after opening the calendar item in Redtail.

Have Household Keywords
I'd love to be able to have keywords that are applied to the household as a whole, not just the individual person. We use monthly keywords for our review months, and keep husband/wife the same. Right now, we have to add that keyword to both people, and then update on both if we need to change it. I'd love to have an option for household keywords, that automatically assigns that same keyword to all parties in the household (kids, etc...)

make comments and linked documents part of the notes search
Notes are searchable, but comments and document names are not. It would be helpful to hit all when searching notes.

add a plug in for outlook so you can save emails to the client's redtail contact
With Smart Office we had a plugin/ widget so that we could post an email to their contact page. You either had the option to do it every time for everyone or you could do it manually. You could also click a button and it would send any attachments in the email to their contact page.

Automatically SAVE INPUT and do it WITHOUT CLOSING the activity or note or whatever is beingupdated.
According to this forum, this suggestion (posted in 2016, 2017, 2018) was completed. Funny, since it's our biggest daily problem. We lose data so often that we have to keep a word doc open in the background during the day to enter notes and then find the time to cut and paste to Redtail. Counterproductive? You bet. Keeping notes for our client records is the main reason we purchased RedTail and it's proving less reliable than Outlook Notes. Finding the time at the end of each day to cut and paste into RedTail is ... difficult. so many words came…

Mark Activity Incomplete or Canceled
Some activities never get completed, because we don't hear back from a client/prospect or the client/prospect changes their mind. Right now the only option is to make a note in the description and mark it as complete or delete the activity outright.
I would like to mark an activity either Incomplete or canceled to close out the activity, because it is never going to be complete. This would allow me to keep track of essentially wasted work and unresponsive clients. Also, it doesn't make sense to show an activity as completed when it wasn't. Thanks!

Ability to do a keyword search through notes, and ability to search for notes added during a specific time period.
We have times we don't remember which client we submitted a note for, so to search for the keyword in the notes category would be great. Or even search for all of the notes submitted during a specific time period. We can currently only view the notes submitted in the past week. What if we need to look at the notes submitted the previous week? There is no option, record, or list anywhere to access this.

Link a Contact to a note after it has been Created
It would be very beneficial to have an option in the action menu of a note to link an additional contact after a note has been made. Currently if one forgets to include that additional contact in the initial making of the note, there is no way to copy that note, with all the comments underneath, to that additional contact without either completely restarting or copying the note and comments individually to that additional contact.
If it could be the same as linking an account to a note, that would be wonderful!34 votes
