When one activity is added it can trigger another activity to be created
Example: I have a Sell Funds activity for my FA and the next day I need to Follow Up with a Sell Funds Activity for my SA. When I create the first activity I would like the second activity to be created at the same time. So, one activity would tell the automation to make a second activity. BTW - I have them on Activity Templates right now. Just waiting on the Automation to catch up!

scheduling reoccurring activities
There used to be more options for scheduling re-occurring activities! I have client who don't always want to meet every so many days/weeks/or months.... we like to select a certain day every April and November for instance. Can we have those options returned please???!!! When the changes were made it removed A LOT of activities off our calendar and clients are getting confused now.

Comments in Linked Notes
In Activities, under Linked Notes, it would be beneficial to add an indicator (maybe an astrick) to a note when someone has added a comment. There is no way of knowing if someone has commented, unless you open the note.

Can the add beneficiary pull in an existing contact record so that we don't have to enter information if they are already in the system.

Automated Scheduling in Redtail
Create & integrate an automated scheduling system within Redtail just like ScheduleOnce etc. which allows clients to schedule appointments themselves via a link we send to them. As well as automated confirmation and reminder emails and/or texts. Instead of connecting Redtail to an outside automated scheduling system, have those capabilities within Redtail. That would be so helpful to have everything in one place!

Remove account balances on beneficiary report
Give the option to remove account balances on the beneficiary reports. This could be to be able to check and uncheck them in the Custom Reports or just removed them completely from the Beneficiary Reports. Account balances have very little to do with what beneficiaries a client chooses.

activity font
It would be helpful if we could change the default font, to a larger font, in the body of the activity.

The table feature inside activities and workflows is ineffective and does not work
The table feature in both activities and workflows is clunky and does not work - there is no way to adjust column size (they appear to adjust based on what you type in the column and then when you type in the column on the other side they adjust again?).There is no way to have borders or any sort of formatting to the table.
Can you just make the table feature work like it does in Word/Excel to make it actually useful?20 votes -

please allow users to have the option of what they want in the activity by contact report, ex: filter out the description column

When clicking on the account tab with the Orion integration can it be that we choose which account view we want - Orion or Redtail?

Ability to customize Financial Information section under Know Your Client. Each office / broker dealer has its own requirements for disclosing holdings. For Example:
Real Estate vs Securities
DPP vs Non-DPP
Liquid vs IlliquidWe should be able to customize the verbiage so we can use the information for filling forms, compliance or marketing.

on mobile devices, having an alarm/notification ahead of scheduled items would be very useful!

workflow outcome description template
Ability to create a template for the 'step notes' free-entry text box (comes up after completing a workflow step and adding an outcome). IE to make sure outcome notes are consistent, and prompt/remind user what details should be included in that box.
Similar to the template ability for description box on activities + notes.

Activity Pinning
It would be a great resource for activities to be pinned at the top of an activity list. Listing an activity as a high priority with the exclamation point only goes so far. The date does not roll, so if the user doesn't know to update his columns by priority or if it changes, then the activity goes back to the original date. Going thorough and rolling each activity every morning is inefficient. If there was an easy way to PIN a certain activity to the top it would stay at the top of your list no matter what.

CUSTOM EXPORT TEMPLATE
We have a LOT of custom export templates because we have a large staff and everyone has different needs. How about allowing each user to mark the templates they use as Favorites so that they can just look at the list of templates that they use instead of having to scroll through everyone else's?

Allow for automations to create activities
Some tasks don't require or aren't very well suited for a full workflow. It would be very helpful if we could use automations to trigger the creation of an activity when client statuses or other info is changed. It could work like it does with workflows, where you would create an activity template, then when creating the automation you would set the "Action Type" field as "Link Activity from Template". You would then select the correct template from a dropdown with all the templates listed. Thanks!

Automatic Spouse Contact Record Should Inherit Permissions
An automation exists to permission new contact records to the associated advisor, so other advisors cannot see that advisor's contacts. This is a compliance requirement and Redtail has this functionality. However, When a spouse record is created automatically from a contact, it does not get the permissions that are assigned to the associated Contact - even though is has the same information as the contact that the automation uses to assign permissons.
This is causing a compliance issue as the spouse record can be seen by other advisors. Can you please 'enhance' the system to apply the same permissions to…20 votes -
Life/domestic partner option in Family (in lieu of Spouse)
Add the option for life partner or domestic partner when creating a family in place of Spouse. The Other option doesn't show up in the Family on the "other" person's contact record. Utilizing memberships takes extra steps and you have to search for it by clicking More, then Memberships. Any time saved is beneficial.

EMAIL archive needs to be in real time to serve sales team not just service team
the email history needs to be in real time rather than 24 hour delay.... a delay like this is fine if you have already earned the account, just coasting, where my customer service person or myself might be leisurely floating though the accounts seeing who we can bless today but in a firefight, with another firm, trying to earn the account, the sales team needs to know closer to real time what was said and by who in email. Notes are in real time and no one questions why thats important so seriously, lets get this email archive current so…
