delete contact category
Need to be able to delete the contact categories of "Personal Client" and "Contact" since we don't want those but they get chosen since they can't be deleted

Workflow tasks should show up in the regular activity list of "things to do today".
I would like Workflow Tasks to show up in the regular activity list of "things to do today". That way, I can view past, upcoming, etc. workflow tasks in my regular activities list. Our entire office, including owner, HATE having to go to a completely separate area to see workflow tasks. As a matter-of-fact, many Workflow tasks are missed because they do not show in the regular activities list. This feature would be VERY helpful in doing our work, planning, and filling in when staff members are absent.

Add "Referred By" as a Column option in the Quick Lists area
We create quicklists for all of our prospects so we can track what stage they are in the process. Currently Quicklists have columns from Contact Details including "Status", "Category", "Source", "Type" etc. Can we also add the column "Referred By" as an option?

Open Activities Page - Add in Custom Columns
We are building out our activities to utilize them across multiple different teams within our firm, and we would like there to be a way to add in a category column to the open activities view page. Specifically, the client's Servicing Advisor or the Client Contact Category (which we use to show the office location they are attached to).

Give us a text box when using "Begins With" or "Like" operands
When doing an advanced contact search, if we choose a field with a preset list of options (Tag Group, Category, Status, etc), regardless of the operand we choose we are only ever given the option to use a preset value from the dropdown box as the search criteria.
It would be very helpful to be have a freeform text box for the "Begins With" and "Like" operands.
For example, we have 6 different tag groups that all start with the same first three letters - "FMG": FMG A Clients, FMG B Clients, FMG C Clients etc. etc. Right now there's…

Speak Channel Organization
The ability to organize speak channels in a preferred order. Also add the ability to group channels into different categories for easier management. IE (Team ,Operations, Tech, Etc)

Integrate with Lacerte to pull in "Client Status".
We are a tax office as well as investment advisors. Integrations that would be awesome include:
Lacerte - for the Client Status, eFile Status and ESign status.
SmartVault - to be directly connected
SmartWaiver - to pull in signed waivers by email

Add a "Next Step" with assigned person feature to Activities
Below the activity name, have a "Next Step" like in Opportunities. Also give the ability to assign that step to a specific attendee on the Activity.
We don't need the completed next steps listed, we just want to be able to update the person who has the next option on the activity.

Next Step Opportunity Dates/Activities
It would be really nice if when you added Next Steps to an opportunity, you could set a "Due Date" for the next steps. And then as a follow-up to that request, it would be nice if the due date and next steps automatically created an activity. Basically, it would be nice if the Next Steps auto-created an activity that was then linked to the opportunity, without us having to create an activity separately that cannot be linked to the opportunity.

Make deceased contact show current age as if they were alive
I would like deceased contacts to keep counting their age next to their birthday as if they were alive. Or put the age they were when they died next to date of death, and have their "current" age next to their birthday. This is helpful when planning with widows for example.

Lock down root "Clients" folder in Redtail Imaging
Someone on our team inadvertently archived our root client folder in Redtail Imaging. Obviously their mistake, but it should not be that easy to archive such an important root folder. Because our file system is so large, the archive view won't even load our archived files. The Redtail support team is helping us restore them, but we don't have our client files until they do. There seems to be no way to lock down the root folder, and still allow all the folders underneath it to be editable by our team. This seems to be an important feature.

specific dates for workflows
I would love to create workflows in lieu of activities to reminder me to send invoices and greeting cards to clients. Please add the functions of specific dates for tasks so this can be done.

Multi-Factor Authentication for Mobile App
Security Issue: Multi-Factor authentication is currently not an option for the Redtail CRM mobile app. This means that an attacker can attempt to use brute force tactics using only username and password over the public internet to gain access to a clients CRM instance. This is a major security flaw. Why is MFA not an option for the mobile app similar to the browser / web-based application? If MFA is not possible on the mobile app for whatever reason, then at least there should be an option to disable the mobile app for the clients CRM instance. MFA is a…

Reviews - "preferred meeting month"
I was wondering if it is in the pipeline to add a button/feature to the Reviews section of Redtail.
Our office is running into an issue every year that people push their reviews back and we end up with a ton of reviews in December (because we are required to meet every year).
Would it be possible to add a feature that says “Preferred Meeting Month” – with the months as drop downs? Example - if a client is scheduled or March, but they don’t meet until September, next year when we reach out, they are reached out to in…

Archive Options in Lists
I'd love to be able to archive certain items, either custodians we no longer use or models no longer applicable as suggestions. They'd still be listed on closed accounts for recordkeeping but wouldn't come up as a suggestion when adding a current account's model. The same could be done for former advisors and being able to archive a choice on the servicing advisor and writing advisor list so it doesn't pollute our list but we can still sett it when we look at that contact (for former clients that never had a replacement advisor).

Could you add the ability for the main search bar to look up clients by Client ID, not just by name?
We’re reducing the use of personally identifiable information in our internal communication, so Client IDs are becoming our go-to. Right now we have to use Advanced Search—or swap an ID into a random contact’s URL—to find someone by ID. If the main search bar supported Client ID lookup, it would make the process faster, cleaner, and more secure for our team.

Foreign Currency and TIDs
Update Redtail so that it can house Foreign Currency and TIDs - this will help with linking accounts that are out of country (especially those in neighboring countries like Mexico and Canada)

Allow team members to view scheduled messages in Speak
Our team uses RT Speak to send appointment reminders to clients and our financial advisor. However we run into issues when someone has set up a scheduled message and the appointment changes, because if the person who created the scheduled message is out of office, we have no way of editing or canceling the reminder. It would be incredible to be able to see AND edit the scheduled messages of your team members.
