  1. Missing UDF Report

    I need to run a report when a specific UDF is blank.
    I am starting to think redtail is only good for the little guy....we have a lot of clients...I need to quickly find clients that are missing data

  2. allow for user and client invitees on a calendar to accept or decline invite and add to external calendar

    similarly to how we can invite people to calendar events in Outlook or Zimbra

  3. professional contact

    On the Contact Page, you have provided a window with quick access to the Know Your Client Info, but it's missing one choice. You have Client Review, Financials, Important Info, Misc Client Info. Next it should say Professional and you'd be able to access this quickly from the primary contact page.

  4. Merge contacts by showing the records side-by-side and allowing the user to select the data they wish to keep

    As it currently stands, you require the user to clean up the records being combined in order to complete a merge. But this takes just as long as copying and pasting the data from one to the other and deleting the duplicate.

    Instead it would be better if I could view the records selected for merging side-by-side and select the data I wish to keep from each (including all UDFs and notes)

  5. Ability to send broadcast email as the advisor

    Instead of my advisor having to log in and send out the broadcast emails, it would be better if there was a way to "send as" so the broadcast emails come from my advisor and not me.

  6. Broadcast email - using "Enter" key in subject line causes email to send immediately.

    Please provide a fix for this issue! If a user pushes the "Enter" instead of the "Tab" key after entering a subject in a broadcast email, the email will immediately send to all chosen contacts, whether there is text in the body of the email or not. I've spoken to a RT rep, who checked with the developers. The developers say this is the intended behavior. This causes an incomplete email to be sent to all contacts chosen, which causes much confusion and extra work. Please add some type of fail-safe, with an extra step that asks "Are you sure…

  7. Contact information for spouse - Would like button to automatically update/add contact information to spouse or other contact in a household

    Would like button to automatically update/add contact information to spouse or other contact in a household. Currently I have to copy and past from one record to another each contact item at a time: phone number, street address, city, state zip. Issue exists when adding new contacts or updating address/phone for existing contact.Have to update both contact records manually.

  8. Notes

    It would be great to be able to see more of the note in the note summary from a Contact's page without having to click on the notes, or maybe have an option or preference setting to select if you want to see the full notes or summaries. Also would be convenient to be able to edit the notes without deleting and starting over

  9. Date of Death and Termination Date do not show on Personal Profile. Would be helpful for archiving records.

    This would be helpful when archiving records. It is reasonable to delete inactive and deceased clients from Redtail.

  13. Add flag on the Personal Profile Form that indicates which information is marked as Primary and Preferred on the Contact Card

    When the Personal Profile report gets printed, even though you have the option in RedTail to know if a address or phone number is preferred, there is no indication on the report if it is or not. Please provide a way of indicating this. Thanks

  14. Activity Notes Linked to Account

    For activities that are linked to an account, it would be nice if the notes that are entered in that activity are automatically linked to that account. I have to enter the note and then go back and link it to the account after.

  15. **Please don't classify activities as past due until after the end date**

    If I create an activity that needs to be finished by the end of the month, it shows up as past due every day and I have to manually roll it over each day.

    Use the end date entered when creating the activity to determine when an activity is "past due"

    Or add the ability to set things up this way when creating an activity.

  16. Add 'Engaged' to Marital Status

    Allowing us to record when a client is engaged, though not a legally binding status, lets us prepare to have a conversation around merging assets and the other financial impacts of marriage.

  17. Allow the option to choose Family Category or Group Category

    A Group Category would be helpful for Simple IRA Companies with many participants, trust accounts, corporations or investment groups with several participants. The membership feature is not easily accessible like the Family Name link and seem more logical for CPA's, attorneys or other professional links to a client.

  18. Automatically Change Family Upon Divorce

    When a client is linked to another contact as a spouse and the marital status goes from married to divorced (or similar can be done for widowed) remove the contact from family and automatically add membership marking them each ex-husband/ex-wife as applicable.

  20. Reminder to Save activity

    When working in an activity either creating or updating, it would be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious if a box popped up asking if you want to save it when you have not as typical products (like Microsoft) do. Please, please, please make this a priority! I searched but could not find it on earlier recommendations which surprises me because I was told by the RedTail executive at our National Conference that there had been much feedback asking for this after Tail Wag came out. That was in June...
