add columns to Home Screen of Contact Records
On "home screen" of listing of contacts, it would be very helpful to have at least 3additional columns: Date of Birth and Address and Phone Number. I have a fair number of clients with literally the same name. So having additional columns that I can see at a glance would streamline my day.

Notification Emails need to be ENCRYPTED
We have been aware of this issue for a long time now, but I think with the climate today it has become IMPERATIVE that Redtail encrypt notification emails generated from created and updated Activities. I believe many Redtail users put sensitive information in the subject and description such as account numbers (regardless of whether Redtail thinks we should) and then that information is being broadcast to the world in an insecure email if notification settings are not all set to "no". REMOVE chat bubble or make it MOVEABLE
Please remove the chat bubble or place it on the left hand side with the menu. It currently blocks your view of activity details such as time entered regardless of window size you are viewing it. It interrupts many of our daily activities and we either want the ability to move it, have you remove it, or place it on the left hand side out of the way of viewing the CRM system.

See only tasks i assign
I want to be able to do the following:
Assign a task to a colleague (let's call him Bob) and see the status for ONLY those tasks for Bob that i have assigned to him (not tasks he has created for themselves)
Be notified via email when ONLY the tasks i have assigned to Bob have been completed

Add a Category of OUT
Program the OUT category to have a Conflict message that pops up if someone tries to assign a task, call or appointment to the individual on a day they are marked Out. Currently there is nothing to catch it if someone assigns a follow-up item from Notes and they're not looking at the calendar to see that the person has themselves blocked out. (With the category option of OUT, you could still list a description like Vacation or whatever details the person wanted.)

Functional "Projected Revenue" and "Actual Revenue" Fields in Opportunities
It seems incredibly strange to me the fields listed as "Projected Revenue" and "Actual Revenue" exist only for the sake of ornamentation.

Create follow up from a note, when adding the note to another activity
Why can't we have the "create a follow up" from a note that was created under an activity? Many times we have an activity that has multiple steps in which have different notes and different follow up timelines. We know this was available until the recent update but are being told it never existed so we need to suggest as a new feature.

Add the ability to generate/export reports using saved filters on an automated, scheduled basis, sent to email address.

When are you going to go back to the obvious calendar fix of having 2 contact names show up like it use to be?
both names would show up on the calendar when a couple's appt was made. Now it says "2 contacts"
Worse of all, many people have been suggesting this and ORION once again fails to be responsive.
Just an example of why colleagues of mine who, like me have used Red tail for years, are looking for alternatives. Too many better option and no enhancements- just additional problems.3 votes -
Customer Support
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Redtail currently uses Glia for customer service. This is probably one of the most archaic customer service providers I've come in contact with in the applications used.
It's very frustrating because if I lose contact with the person I'm with for Redtail Customer Support, then I have to start all over. Then I have to click several buttons and go somewhere else to access my chat history. Then if I want to continue a dialogue then I have to do this through email or in a different spot in Redtail. This is very annoying.

Add multiple users to a note
Could you please add a feature that will allow us to add multiple users to a client note notification. Right now we only have the option to select one other user or a pre-grouped team of users. It would be helpful if we had to option to pick and chose different users to receive a note notification based on which team members are working on a specific client project.

Linked Accounts - Ability to link empty accounts in RT.
Linked Accounts - Link all accounts, even empty ones - we want the CRM to be the one place of truth! Especially helpful for new clients or clients that have an unfunded Roth, it would be nice to view those in RT.

add incoming emails from Synced account to notes for everyone to see
Be able to add an email that we receive from Synced account to the notes section, to save the email and also allow everyone on the CRM to see the email.

Checklist on Activities
Adding a Checklist option to an Activity would be extremely helpful for tasks that are a little more complex and have a few moving parts that need to be completed.
Kind of like a Trello Card.

Zapier Capabilities Limited Due to Omission of Important Data Being Sent
Many of the gaps in Redtail's abilities could be achieved through Zapier, but there are critically important pieces of information that are not being passed to the Zaps. I've outlined a few of the most important pieces of information that would unlock a lot of functionality through Zapier.
Triggers:
-All should have information about linked contacts. At a minimum, client name and client ID should be available.

Third Party Access to Opportunities
We work with an estate attorney that does estate planning for some of our higher end clients. We would like to have the ability to allow him access to our Opportunities Tab (only). So that we could keep track of the progress and next steps.

Allow Seminars to export Attendee List into Excel Format
Allow Seminars to be able to export an Attendee List into Export format into modifiable lists similar to the Contact Lists. This would benefit especially if invites are being sent out to email addresses and not primarily home addresses. Excel is easy to work with when it comes to modifying and specializing lists to fit our office needs. Hope this is a good idea!

I select Client, client accounts, Reports, Portfolio Detail Report I need Effective dates added by accounts with options to add more details to the report. It would great if we could customize the detailed information on each Summary Report or Snapshot report.

Display how many activities are due on a selected due date
Can you add text on the activity window that says how many activities are already scheduled on the due date you want your activity to be completed by?
It can say “you have XX activities scheduled on this date” or something like that.
You can display this text next to the red text that display that already shows "you have X conflicts".
I believe this will help advisors like me and our practice manages not have to have two tabs so we can preview the calendar and then toggle over to complete the activity on the note we just finished.…

View Contacts on Calendar
Why was this taken away. Hovering over the calendar event is a waste of time. The "quick click" to the contact wasn't worth losing the list of contacts. If I wasn't already using RT, I would not start using RT. If I get the chance to recommend RT, I would say do not use Redtail.
This is the second time the calendar has been "upgraded" with a terrible outcome this year. Please get it together.
