  1. reorder contact info

    Would help organize client's contact info if we were able to reorder them without deleting and reentering the info. Then you could just move preferred method to the top or put one email above another.

  2. Attaching an Email from Outlook to a Client Record (when client is not on the chain)

    Redtail should have a feature/integration with Outlook to attach an email to a client record, when the client email address is not included on the chain. I understand email archiving can capture communication with the client, but there are instances where our team has emails related to the client and we should be able to save those without copy and pasting into a note.

    Allow custom date formatting (e.g., MM/DD/YYYY) for data inserted via custom contact spreadsheet processes, to match the format used when users manually select dates in UDF fields.

  4. Show the tax qualified type to the description of accounts when attaching to an activity

    Right now, when you attach an account to an activity, the account shows up as "[account number] - [account type]" but most of our accounts are brokerage accounts. The information I actually need in order to work quicker is what the tax qualified status of the account is. I'd like to be able to see "[account number] - [account type] - [tax qualified type]" or hover over the account link to see it's tax qualified type.

    Our group has hijacked the account type field to list the tax qualified type because it makes using the CRM so much easier, but…

  6. Seeing ALL contacts per Activity instead of Hiding them

    Please bring back the option to (at a glance) see ALL contacts listed for an activity on the calendar view instead of needing to hover over...this NEGATIVELY impacts our day-to-day not being able to see all contacts listed on an activity appt. and there should be the option to turn this new update that hides contacts off. Please fix this ASAP and give the option to toggle off.

  9. Living Expense Field

    A significant part of "Knowing Your Client" is knowing their monthly or annual living expenses. Please add that field either as a general input or as an itemized input. Thanks!

  10. Add client's name to a workflow on the calendar

    I have an automated workflow for Client Reviews. When I activate the workflow it simply says Client Review on the calendar. When there are multiple reviews, you have to open each one to see the client you are working on.

  11. prior and next month calendars

    It would be great if we had a view of the prior and next month's calendars when looking at this Month's view - it doesn't need to contain information, just a graphic of the month. At times it's important to know what a day a past or future date falls on without having to move the calendar forward or backward

  12. Workflow Reporting

    Please create a workflow report which shows the exact task that the workflow is on rather than all the tasks that are still open in the workflow. We would like to run a report to see exactly where we are in the workflow. The Workflow Task report is very confusing as it shows all the tasks still needing to be done rather than the one we are currently working on. It is not a useful too in determining what task we need completed. Thank you for your consideration!

  13. Sorting of activities should follow consistent logic when an activity is changed

    Currently, if I see multiple activities on the same date, whenever I complete, rollover, reschedule or delete an activity, all other activities for that date re-sort. There appears to be no regular logic to the sorting. When using this view in a meeting, the team is regularly frustrated that the list of activities continues changing every time an activity's status is changed.

  14. Improve accounts tab layout and add customizability

    Currently, only certain information is readily available on the accounts tab without going into each account. To resolve this, allow for customizing the columns shown in the family accounts section to allow for some information to be removed if not in use (i.e. flags, risk if you don't use orion planning, face value for brokerage accounts, etc.) and add columns that would be more useful for different account types (i.e. investment objective for brokerage accounts, account owner or account title, RMD information, IRA Contributions, etc.).

  15. Search for a particular word that is NOT included in a note

    Search for a particular word that is NOT included in a note. Currently, I can search for a particular word that I would like to find, filter for the account type, the category, and red tail will find a list of contacts that has that particular word within a timeframe for a particular contact. I would like to reverse that and find contacts that do NOT have a particular word with the same search criteria as above.

  16. Contact Card to show Upcoming Appointments/Tasks

    Enhance the client contact card to display real-time key information, specifically:

    Whether the client has an upcoming appointment scheduled (with date and time)

    Number of open tasks linked to their name

    Reasoning:
    This would streamline workflow by allowing users to quickly see important details at a glance without having to search elsewhere. It would save time, reduce back-and-forth navigation, and improve overall efficiency when interacting with client profiles.

In SmartOffice, if we marked as an address as invalid, the system would automatically exclude those addresses from mass mailings/printings, therefore keeping efficiency in the office. It would do the same for email addresses. It would be nice if Redtail had this feature rather than us having to manually sort thru our data each time.

  18. Activity field on Opportunity record

    Can we please link the Activities to the Opportunity record and be able to CREATE activities from the Opp and vice versa? That way, you can see client phone calls etc via activity on the Opp easily

  19. Account Flag

    Hello.
    I would be VERY helpful to be able to use the account flags (Tax Qualified, Discretionary, Managed, Held Away) as a search parameter in the Advanced Search. We have certain account prefixes for different types of accounts and this would help to verify accounts.
    At the very least, make an option for Flags in the Custom Export Template feature. That way we could could export it to Excel and sort it.

  20. Choose when email notifications for activities are sent

    Would be great to be able to choose whether to have an activity send an email every time it's updated or not. Or choose whether an email is sent every time someone removes themself from the activity. Or choose WHOSE updates should be emailed (e.g, only the activity owner's changes go out as an email). When we have a team activity the emails get out of control.
