Shade All Day Events on Calendar
When an All Day event is created, such as being out for vacation or at a conference, it would be nice to see that day shaded in a semi-transparent color, similar to what Outlook does. It makes scheduling easier, rather than having to look at the top section of the calendar (which is generally used for birthday reminders).

Add a recurring revenue field to opportunities.
Opportunities show "revenue". There should be a field for one time revenue and another for recurring revenue, like 12b-1 or advisory fees.
An extrapolation would be the 10 year value of the opportunity.

In the Workflow list, if there are more than one linked contacts, show names, not "2 contacts"
When there are more than one linked contacts to a workflow, list their names in the task list. How does it help to see "2 contacts"? under the names? And they do not alphabetize if you sort by contact.

I would love to see some shortcut typing option or autocorrect as you go along in the notes.
I would love to see autocorrect as you type in the notes section. Appreciate the spellcheck but as I type, it would be nice for it to correct as I type.
Also, maybe a shortcut typing option to type your notes quicker. For example, I type "MyRepChat" and do not like to abbreviate in the notes. It would be nice if I could type MRC and it pop out.

Ability to see past due workflow tasks on "Workflow tasks to do today" but in red
Right now when a teammate completes a workflow task that is past it's set due date, the next person in the workflow is not alerted that it has been completed and it shows up as past due. Unless I check "Past Due" workflows every day, it is very easy for things to get missed. This is a HUGE problem and could lead to massive errors. I propose that the next step in a completed workflow that is "Past Due" either have a reminder with it or show up in red on the "Workflow tasks to do today." Thank you!

UDF Report: More Filters
It would be helpful to be able to filter the UDF report on contact status. I may need UDF info clients, and not prospects, for instance.

Past due tasks stay on Today screen
When I assign a task to myself or someone else, it will be on my today screen until the due date. If I don't get to it, and it goes to past due, it goes in the past due section. This would be fine, except every single calendar event goes there too, and it is useless for finding past due tasks. Like any good task list, they should stay on the Today screen until they are actually marked as complete. Unless I'm missing something, which is very possible....

Allow Customization of "Things to do today" and other widgets on Homescreen
Every person is different and every business focuses on different things -being able to fully customize the "widgets" on the home screen like reminders and workflow tasks would provide added efficiencies and provide a much needed "one-stop shop" for everything you need to accomplish for the day/week/month.
For example, the "things to do" widget ONLY shows things due that day. A running, chronological list of the "next 10 tasks" due would be way more efficient and impactful or at least displaying all overdue tasks alongside the ones due that day. The extra step-through process of trying to locate outstanding deliverables…

calendar layout
Being able to have different options on how you want the layout of your 'DAY' calendar. I'm dyslexic and it is just hard to feel organized because the lay out feels so jumbled together. It would be better if you could view your day in columns of advisors by their color- than rows of task by their color. This would be so helpful!!!!

Relationship between households
When putting a family together, I think there should be more options than just married. We have some clients who become POA or even guardian of our clients and it is hard to connect them. If we were able to have more options like "Guardian of" instead of married it could make it easier.

Avoid repeat reminders from falling on a weekend.
It would be nice if repeat reminders would avoid falling on a weekend. For instance, I have a client who transfers $2800 monthly to an investment account on the 6th of every month. So I set up a reminder on the 7th to invest her money. Some months the 7th falls on a weekend when the market is closed, and I have to manually set a new reminder for Monday. It would be nice if this reminder would automatically push to the following Monday if it fell on a weekend.

Portfolio Balance = Total Family/Household balance
I think it would be extremely beneficial to have a setting that we could be able to see the HOUSEHOLD total balance on the top right where it shows "Portfolio Balance" instead of just that client. Also, it would be nice when creating an activity and trying to link an account to have all of the household accounts show up instead of just the accounts of that specific client.

Please find a way to create folders in documents so they are easier to find and categorize.

Add age or birthdate on family page
Please add the age or birthdate with the dependent's name on the family page. That would allow us to see the ages of all the kids without clicking on each child.

Spouse phone & email in Custom Export
Would it be possible to add spouse phone numbers and email addresses to custom exports? The idea would be to export head of households, so there is only one row of data per HH with all info needed to contact both parties of that HH. Thank you.

Adding RMD INFO. Tab - nexto Misc Client Info
Adding new Tab next to Misc Client Info - RMD Info.- so we can add Client RMD info instead of using UDF's or Important Info. It would be easier/quicker to find (at a glance) & make it to where we could either use copy/paste or creating your own template.

Align Household Marital Status in Contact Details with the Household
Instead of having the household ALWAYS showing a couple as married allow that field to match the marital status in contact details. There are many reasons why we have someone householded together and they may not be married. This causes confusion for staff and can lead to uncomfortable conversations when we misrepresent how two people are connected.

Add a visual status of tasks on the Activities List
At least add an icon like the exclamation point that means in a holding pattern. A visual status or percentage done on the list of tasks would be nice. Basically, I would like a way to differentiate activities in the list that I am waiting on someone else or some information before proceeding. That way it does not clutter the list of to do's when I am seeing what I need to do.

Activity Start & End Date - Past Due
Activities should NOT show past due if the end date has not passed yet.
If Redtail is not able to adjust this right now can a column be added to the activity list view? "Start Date" & "End Date" that way we can at least see those dates in the list view?
We are not able to keep an accurate track record of the activities that are past due or the activities on someone's plate - including the time allotment for the task. What is the point of the end date field if it doesn't show on the activity list…9 votes
