  1. Column View for Opportunities

    I’d love to see a column-based view added to the Opportunities screen in Redtail CRM! This feature could function like a Kanban board, making it easier to manage and update opportunities visually.

    Here’s how it could work:
    • Sortable Columns: Users could organize opportunities by stage, type, or source, with each column representing a specific category.
    • Drag-and-Drop Updates: Opportunities would appear as cards within the columns, and users could update an opportunity’s stage by dragging it from one column to another (e.g., from “Needs Contact” to “Meeting Scheduled”).

  2. Have the full name including middle initial and suffix show on activity email notifications so recipients know which contact to go to

    Please show full names on an activity email notification so recipients know which contact record to go to. We have several father/sons who have a different middle initial or a Jr/Sr listed. This would be helpful for recipients of the notification to know which contact to go to for the activity.

  3. Ability to run SQL queries on database

    We need the ability to run queries off the redtail database so we can pull more meaningful data for key metrics and other critical business uses.

  4. Edit Contact Type

    The ability to add/remove Contact Type options. For example, we do not use "Association" or "Union" - so we would like those options to be greyed out or removed entirely, so they cannot be chosen. We don't want any users to be able to assign an incorrect contact type - which is easy to do with multiple users creating accounts. This is more for ensuring data stays clean.

  5. Tax Qualification on integrations

    When a direct feed is set up from a custodian, the tax qualification and custodian should be included in the linked account.

  6. Being able to notify someone when adding a link note to an existing activity

    There is no drop down menu in the linked notes section to notify team or users. Can this be added please?

  7. Color on activity should have transparency or ability to only have the color on 50% of the activity box

    The color of the activity should be adjustable to be transparent or only taking up 50% of the activity. We have a weekly activity that saves a 1-hour time slot in our calendar so that if a client has an emergency and needs to get in quickly then we have a time that is reserved that we can fit them in. With the activity being opaque in color it sometimes gets missed by admin who schedule because they mistake it for an appointment or task even though the color is different.

  8. Generate a report based on client category

    For segmenting reasons, it would be nice to generate a report to show how much time we spent with certain clients based on their category/segmentation.

  9. Dark Mode

    Redtail finally added a dark mode! It would be ideal if it was black instead of gray though. That way it would look more like the dark mode with Dark Reader (the google chrome extension). Even better they could add an extra mode that is darker. (Sort of like Twitter's Dark Mode: Dim or Lights out). It's still too bright with the mode redtail just put in.

  10. Attendees activity updates

    Allow attendees to comment on the description in an activity, while saving it in a separate box so information won't be overwritten accidentally. This will have their name and timestamp along with their update. But keep as part of the activity so we have a record of original activity followed by updates.

    Wealthbox has this feature that team members have commented they liked at prior firms.

  11. Create Linked Activities, documents, linked accounts from the aggregate notes on today list or notes by contact

    Currently on the aggregate notes page under each note, the actions link, you only have the option to print or delete. Why don't you have the options to link an activity, document, account or note, like you do when inside a contact record? You also can't do any actions the notes by contact report. It would be very helpful to be able to look over the days activities in aggregate and then link activities to them without having to go in and out of every contact in the list. In addition, having the ability to filter the aggregate today notes…

  13. AI Note Taking

    Suggestion to enhance note-taking for client meetings using AI. It would be incredibly helpful if there was an AI feature that could automatically summarize key discussion points from meetings and save them within the meeting details. This could also include generating action items, or suggesting follow-up tasks .

  14. Notify users when comment added to a note

    users can notify team members when adding a note to contact, but that option is not available when adding comments. Should be consistent.

  15. Tax qualified

    Currently when adding account type and tax type the "tax qualified" check box is automatically checked after you select a type from the drop down. Please give us the ability to not have this automatically checked.

    Please look into a iPipeline integration for advisors who use a brokerage general agency for many carriers and can see their book of business in ipipeline. It would be great to merge that data into their contact records

    We need a report that will allow us to report on all user activity. We use Redtail to track our internal processes, so I would like to be able to pull one report showing all of the activity that a user has done, including: Activities created/completed, notes created/commented, workflows created and completed, workflow tasks created and completed, login dates/times, etc.

    If the action taken is linked to a contact, I would want to know which contact it was linked to.

  20. When tagging additional contacts in a note, any contacts that autopopulate should be BEFORE the "Add new contact" option. Not after.

    When I go to tag an additional contact, I begin typing their name (e.g. "stev" for Steve). If I have 1 contact named Steve it should populate that name above the "create new contact" option so that I can hit enter as soon as I have the name partially typed
