Seminar Attendee Export as CSV
Add the ability to export list of seminar attendees as a CSV with information including their Redtail ID.

Notes to head of household automatically copy to spouse's contact
It would be nice to have notes automatically post to the head of household's spouse with having to "copy to another contact".

Post completed opportunity to Contact notes
Once an opportunity is marked as closed won or closed lost add the ability to add the whole opportunity into the clients notes

Email Blasts - Birthdays
Could it be possible to have the system automatically generate and send an email blast to the clients that are celebrating the same birth dates?
Instead of manually having to setup an email blast and capturing the emails needed to send the celebratory greeting on a daily basis, the system would recognize the birthday/clients and send out the email automatically.This would save time, reduce errors, and create efficiencies with removing a task that can be automated.

Edit a client note
Would love for their to be a feature where you can edit a note for a client after saving the note. Please let me know if there is already a feature for this.

Household/Family
It would be ideal if: the Family feature can accommodate entity names instead of just individuals or adopting a Household category as means for showing entity names (trusts/business entities etc...) in conjunction with the client relationship.

Activity Edits/Formatting
I accidently saw an expanded version of activity formatting options when there was a glitch and now we want the options!
It would be great to have options to add pictures, different bullet points, printing options before saving the activity, highlighting, and colored font options -- all similar things that you can find in word.25 votes -
Outlook Add-in
I see that others have suggested an add-in in lieu of the Retriever software. Retriever is a bit cumbersome and "buggy" as it relates te calendar activities. It would be ideal if there was an add-in that allowed for easy archive to RedTail of email, syncing of calendar and tasks from Outlook directly. There are add-ins for Zoom, etc. in Outlook that connect directly to the calendar, so I know that the tech exists. We love RedTail but a better integration with Outlook would make the product stellar.

Automation Added based on Trigger Activity Added - More Conditions Needed
Please add more conditions when selecting Trigger Event Activity Added such as:

Change category type of multiple documents at once
It would save us a lot of time if we could edit the category type of multiple documents at once, instead of having to click through for each document. For example, when uploading several different estate documents for a client, it would be better to just have to click all the documents then change the category for all at once instead of changing the category for each individual document.

When linking contacts, e.g., parent to adult child, the terms "Linked Contact" and "Linked Contact is" are confusing.
1) Why not use "Relationship to this contact"?
2) If I make one contact the parent, shouldn't Redtail automatically make the other contact a "child"?25 votes -
Google Earth integration so you can see your contacts on a pre-made map
I propose a feature that ties into Google Earth so that when you make an appointment with someone, you can visually see all of the other contacts who are within a geographic region.
So for example:
Your practice is based in San Francisco, CA
You have 1000 contacts spread across the country. These could be clients, prospects, lawyers, and accountants.
You decide that next month, you want to meet a client (Mr. Steve Jones) in Los Angeles, CA which is 8 hours away.
To be more efficient with your travel oppurtunities and expenses, you would love to see a Google…

User Rights - Edit Contact Records
There needs to be several more user rights options. Add the ability for the database administrator to allow or disallow a user from editing a contact record. If you want to centralize the process in your office for who gets to edit records this is the way. There is currently a user right option to delete a record. Someone could still go into the record a compromise the data within the profile. Its the same as deleting it. We need this ability to turn on and off for specific database users.

Edit/customize account information fields within an account type
Right now the fields within different account types are set, and not always pertaining to applicable features within certain registrations/ investments. Would be nice if the administrator could add/ edit/ remove account specs from the within a specific account type to match what our office would like to see when viewing certain types of accounts in Redtail. For example: just on the account type Variable Annuity, we want a death benefit option to be a list of riders we frequently use or Return of Principal, but it only gives us the options of Level, Increasing, Automatic or Decreasing which only…

Workflow Notifications- Choose when to send a notification
We have many individuals on a team in our office. It would be beneficial if sending workflow update e-mails were optional; just as they are with notes. It would be helpful to be able to select who the notifications should be sent to.

Financial Planning Tab in Clients
I would love to see the addition of a Financial Planning tab under the contact record. It would be a summary page of where a client is. It may have things like whether they have a will or not, when that will was done, when we last asked about the will to make sure it is reflects current wishes. It would have places for outside accounts or insurance policies (for a placeholder for accounts we don't have downloading in and won't mess up our AUM numbers). Fluid Role Reassignment in workflows...
As im going thru workflow tasks and playing with teams and roles, I see that if I have a workflow task set up on a team and the workflow is active, if i swap a team member out it reassigns the tasks automatically. If I attempt the same thing with Roles, the Advisor for example, this does not reassign the task to the new advisor. it seems that this behavior should be consistent across all teams and roles.

Be able to link Workflow to Activity Templates so you can attach pending documents and tasks for group

report completed tasks
It would be great if we could run a report on completed tasks so we can see which users completed what tasks, not just the last user that completed a workflow that may include multiple people
