  1. License Type Database List

    The license type database list is incomplete. While adding licenses for advisors, I was unable to add Series 1, Series 22, Series 31, and Series 53. I submitted a ticket to support technology but I was told that this feature is unavailable, and they suggested that I post it as a suggestion.

  2. Automatically update last review date in client review section

    It would be nice if I could schedule a client meeting on the calendar and complete it then the date would auto fill in the the first review date of the client review field under know your client.

  3. Activity report based on date activity was created

    We would like to create an activity report based on the date the activity was created as opposed to the date of the actual activity. We would like to use this report in order to double check all the activities that were created each day and be able to look at a daily report of all activities added.

    Portfolio Detailed report needs to be more detailed. Life policies - Benefit amount, premium. Fixed accounts - Interest Rates. LTC policies - Daily Benefit, Premium..ect

  5. Add Revenue to the Opportunities dashboard and reports

    Add Revenue to the Opportunities dashboard top line... some firms are less worried about assets and more focused on revenue.

  6. Trigger for more fields for Automation Templates

    Need to expand the options for triggers to include more than one field. We want to be able to trigger if all conditions are true but it only allows for one trigger event. We need to allow for more then one trigger event. For example, if the category changes and status changes then it triggers.

  7. Expand Automation Options

    Automation is great! I love the idea, but it needs to be expanded. In our office, we have multiple staff and advisers. Many of the staff do the same functions for different advisers. To keep from making some lists too large, it would be great to expand the ability that automation currently offers.

    Increase options for trigger events. Example: Client Review Date. It would be great to be able to automate a workflow based on the clients review date(s). This would create less work and tracking of the staff and advisers and make sure that clients are reviewed as often…

  8. Allow Tasks to be moved between workflow Steps

    I understand that the order of Tasks within a single Step is not terribly important (all of a Step's Tasks are assigned at the same time, when the prior step is completed). I, like many other users, would like to be able to re-order them anyway, even if it is merely cosmetic.

    But the real issue of concern is the lack of ability to move a Task between workflow Steps. So, if you realize that Task F actually needs to be under Step 3, rather than Step 4, you have to manually re-create it under Step 3, then delete it…

  9. Entering and updating Seminar/Event Attendees

    1. "Attendees" should be "Invites" or Guests", as "Attendees" implies they are attending.

    2. When entering Attendee information, please add the option to add guests in same box we are entering "Attendee". (Thereby avoiding the need to enter the Attendee, save it, then scroll through to find them in the list to then add Guests. (this is silly)

    3. Also, and very important, PLEASE fix the count so that we can see # of confirmations (attending); # of guests; and # of declines. Currently, the count of "Attendees" is every single response which serves no purpose at all.

  10. Add a 'Contact Category Change' Trigger Event for Automations

    Just like the title states, adding a trigger event for Category changes would be incredible. Additionally, in the long run, being able to have unique trigger events, that are inputed by the user.

  11. Email Notification (Activity Assigned)

    I like receiving team notification emails, however when I received activity that is not assigned to me the email reads "You have been assigned a new activity". Please bring back the email notifications the way they were in the OLD REDTAIL CRM. For instance, the person who created the activity/note name is in the FROM, and the Subject reads, "New Activity Team Notification" (not assigned to me) or "New Activity Assigned To You (assigned to me).   14. Set up an automation so that that a message is automatically sent to clients on their birthday and on their anniversary

    send out an automatic birthday wish to each client on their birthday? I would like it to go automatically to the client on their birthday

  15. Run a Notes report with select notes only

    Often time we come across a situation where there are a few notes spread over a few months for a client that would be great to condense into one single report to outline the process.

    'd love to see the ability to 'check' which notes to include in a report so we can print of a string of notes pertinent to each other and remove the extraneous notes for ease of viewing the progression of a task.

  16. Notes and account(s) linked within an activity

    Currently, when an activity that is linked to an account, has notes added within the activity, those notes appear in the notes section separately from the activity itself and the account which was originally linked to the activity is not linked to the note. I would suggest notes that are added within the activity get rolled up into the activity so there is one thread/history so all the separate notes that were added within that activity are bundled in one section with the appropriate account number linked to the original activity.   17. Keep formatting on notes in Timeline

    I make neat notes with bullet points, but the timeline view takes away the formatting which makes my notes look ridiculous and incredibly hard to read. I format my notes to make them easier to read/make information more accessible. Please give me the option to keep my bullet points/bold font/ etc. in the timeline view.

  18. Break out Income more so we can differenciate Earned Income, Social Security, Pension, and Other to align with reality of financial planning

    Instead of just using "Adjusted Gross Income" under the Financials section of "Know your Client" please add additional breakouts for earned income, social security, pension, and other! It is very important for advisors with fee-based and planning based practices to record the breakout...not just one figure, and going through the trouble of making User Defined Fields when not necessary is inefficient.

  19. Warning when sending attachment

    Redtail does not prompt you with a warning when an attachment is to large for an email. Instead it sends out the email without the attachment, and no notification.

  20. Improve contact search.

    When I search for a client using first and last name, it won't show results if the contact card has a middle initial and i didn't type that in.

    For example, if the contact card says, "John Q. Smith" and I search for "John Smith" no results come up.

    Can we also have it show suggestions/similar names? If I don't know how to spell a name and am only off by one letter, can it suggest names like Google does?

    Ex: If I search for Smoth, could it say, "showing results for "Smith" instead."

    Some people have terrible names that…
