Notes
Please update our notes section back to what they were - we take and add detail notes and want to be able to read the complete note without having to click into it - when we are on a call with a client now it is very hard to find the exact notes ugh

Permissions
Couple of things related to permissions.
First, each user should be able to set the default permission of the contacts, actives', and notes they create (separate setting for each). As a db owner managing a group of 15 or so advisors on separate teams its annoying to go through and fix the contacts they forgot to permission.Second, inconjunction with the first, have the option to allow the db owner to force permissions of notes and activities to always be the same as contacts and to change when contact permissions change. add a workflow to bulk actions
Since you don't have triggers for every situation. It would be nice to bulk add workflows to contacts. Adding multiple clients to a tax season workflow let's say. It could either be add workflows in bulk or attach them to multiple clients in bulk.

Allow Customization of the Know Your Client Tab
All advisor offices do client reviews a little differently. Many use the information on the Know Your Client tab during the review. However, the fields on the KYC tab are limited and static. If an advisor wants to add information about their long-term care or disability policy, or other options discussed, that field is not on the tab, nor can you run reports for it. If an advisor wants to discuss position concentrations, and possible trading options, that field is not on this tab. Suggestions for things that would trigger an automation:
1. Completion of a workflow (ex: it would trigger a new workflow to be added)
2. Service agent changed/added (so if a contact is created without a service agent or the service agent is changed something could be triggered, like the adding of a workflow)

Opportunities should have at least 3 date fields
Opportunities should have at least 3 date fields to more easily monitor, work on, filter, do reporting, etc. There should be a Start Date, Next Follow Up Date, and Closed Date. And the Next Follow Up date should generate a calendar reminder.

Meeting Agenda's
More and More advisors are using a "Meeting Agenda" to effectively communicate with clients and prospects. The last CRM program I used had a tab, clearly visible, in all contact records called "Agenda".
So after any meeting, phone call, or anytime at all I could click on the 'Agenda document" and add any content I wanted to discuss with the client at our next meeting or phone call. Workflow in main Notes Realtime NOT once Workflow is done
It would be extremely helpful to have the Workflow notes appear in the main contact notes, on real time, once each task is complete. Therefore all notes for the client are consolidated in one place not separate areas. Currently, as is is NOT efficient! Even with the workflow summary notes you only have them once the workflow is done not while its going

Viewing Notes section
Someone decided to make notes shorter and now we cannot see the notes added to Activities.....terrible when trying to scan through notes to find an issued

Enable user defined fields to have a customizable order
I think it is key to enable user defined fields to have a customizable order, not just alphabetical. This would allow users to format and better fit UDF's to their specific needs. I know that we are evaluating other options for our CRM needs because of the lack in customization with UDF's, if there were more options on this front, it would allow us to stay with Redtail.

Rename Memberships to Relationships. The definition of membership doesn't seem appropriate "the state of being a member, as of a society or club". Relationship is defined as "a connection, association, or involvement" which makes more sense. Many individuals new to Redtail get confuse by this.

adding multiple contacts to an activity
This is a duplicate of other requests but until you decide to pool similar requests......
When creating a new activity can we please have the ability to add multiple contacts without having to save the activity and then edit it to add the additional names? It's a waste of effort!

Workflow - Linked Accounts
Workflows - subject details to include account numbers:
We are setting up workflows to trigger based off of account numbers and account types. Workflows on contact level or when you run the workflow report currently do not show the account number. This is an issue if there are more than one workflows triggered at once. Yyou would then have to click into the workflow to see notes or details or rely to where you are within the workflow which is not great. Workflow Task Display on the Today Page
It is currently very challenging for our team to stay on top of workflow tasks since they are displayed in a separate area from Activities and also since they are only displayed in the “Workflow tasks to do today” section on the day that they are due. We currently have a TON of past due workflows, but it is very easy to forget since we don’t see the tasks listed out on the Today page unless they are due “today.” Please make it possible to filter the “Workflow tasks to do today” section on the Today page to show past…

Contacts > Notes > Comments Notification
Comments on a Note currently do not prompt RedTail to send an Email Notification to the Note Owner. As a result, we just realized that we had been commenting on notes... but the note owners didn't know! Please add a function so that Comments on Notes prompt an Email Notification to whomever created or commented on the note.

add a designated beneficiary area for beneficiary information.
Memberships isn't good enough. Adding beneficiaries to individual accounts is too time consuming. What I'm surprised Redtail doesn't offer is a designated area for beneficiary information (like a tab under Know Your Client). For our office, beneficiaries usually are the same across all accounts, minus a couple here and there. It would be nice if we had a specific region that would have the following:
Beneficiary Name
Beneficiary Type (Primary, Contingent, etc)
Relationship
Date of Birth
Social Security Number
