link contact to note after note is posted
After a note is posted, would it be possible to add a feature where an additional contact is linked to said note? Instead of deleting and recreating the note. We know there is a feature to copy the note to a new contact. But when comments are added or activities are linked, we would like to all parties involved to be on the same page

activity from email, email from activity
Users need to be able to easily create an activity from a client/vendor email.
Typical day - we will receive dozens of emails with requests for appointments, meetings, cash, service, change forms, along with many other requests.
Why not make it easier to click two or three buttons to create an activity from an email, add a quick note and assign to a staff member with deadline and priority.
Also - while on the subject, make it easier to create an email from an activity too.

workflow tasks on calendar
Workflow tasks on RT calendar should clearly state the client's name on the calendar entry so that advisor knows which client the task is pertaining to.

Client review dates should NOT auto change
This is, literally, the MOST IMPORTANT thing that advisors need to stay on top of for compliance purposes. In our firm, MOST reviews do not necessarily happen exactly on time. There are all sorts of reasons for this. The "next review date" should NOT CHANGE AUTOMATICALLY.
This should cycle on an annual (or quarterly, whatever is decided basis) based on a MANUALLY entered "most recent review" date. Then, I should be able to run a report so that I easily know which reviews are overdue.
This is absolutely CRITICAL. C-R-I-T-I-C-A-L.

Show attendees in the meetings/activities in the calendar entry without having to hover over the calendar entry.

Home address vs. other preferred mailing address
Family Head contact shows a home address as well as a PO Box which is flagged as the Preferred Mailing Address. When I search this last name and select the spouse to print a mailing label, the home address is autofilled on the label, not the Preferred Mailing Address. The Preferred Address should be the address autofilled.

Make Albridge downloads more detailed; they are too basic.
Albridge downloads should include company name, account or product type, holding details and how the account is titled. Currently all we get is an account number and account value.

Calendly Integration
I keep getting questions about having the Calendly function or other scheduling tool integrating with Redtail. Is this something Redtail is looking into?

Automation condition based on "activity Template"
If I am using a specific activity template like a "discovery Meeting Template" or an "annual Review Meeting template" I feel like we should be able to automate the corresponding workflow template for that activity template as well.
Selecting the workflow in the "do this action" tab already exists. It is the "Activity Template" that is missing from the "if conditions true" tab.

Sticky Notes to add to client file
Be able to add a "post-it-like" note to a client file so it stands out instantly. This could serve as a reminder to give them something next time they are in the office, or ask them about such and such....
I don't want to sift through client notes, or use a pinned note- this doesn't stand out enough.

newest update - can't view contact names while looking at calendar unless you hover over "2 Contacts"
The newest update for July 2024 changed how you view and print the calendar. We want to be able to look at quick glance who is scheduled for an appointment. We also print a calendar daily and now have to manually type the clients names to be able to view who the appointment is with. Please change back or allow users to choose how they want to view the calendar.

Set up an automation so that that a message is automatically sent to clients on their birthday and on their anniversary
send out an automatic birthday wish to each client on their birthday? I would like it to go automatically to the client on their birthday

Automation based on UDFs/Dates
It would be great if we were able to set up automation triggers based on if a UDF date field expires. For example, if we want to do a cash flow review every 2 years and we have a UDF that shows the date of the last cash flow review, it would be awesome to have an activity created once the last cash flow review hits the 2 year mark.

Add a Gift Log - A way to track what each client has received and when they received it and then to be able to pull reports.

membership automatic set up
It would be nice if some of the membership relationships could be set up automatically when the membership is intuitive. Maybe an option or check box that says, "would you like to automatically add this relationship to: bob brewer, jenny jones and michelle miller". Lets say steve brewer, bob , jenny and michelle are all brothers and sisters; kate brewer is steve's wife . I add mike brewer as steve's father. It would be nice if redtail could figure out that mike is also bob, jenny and michelle's father as well as kate's father-in-law. This issue gets compounded when you…

Set Roles when Creating new Contact
When adding a new contact, we can set the permissions (which is a great addition, thank you!) but you can't set the roles without going into the contact page. It would be useful to be able to set the roles there in the create screen because we have workflows that automate when a new contact is added. Right now they default to one person, because if the workflow automates and the roles aren't set, it assigns to no one. Allow Default Setting for Past Due Activities/Workflow Items
Please allow a default setting to view all current and past due items. Having to manually find past due items really defeats the point of having assigned items to begin with. Thanks!

trusted contact
I know others have suggested/requested adding a Trusted Contact field. Let me share how this would make my life easier:
We use LaserApp to complete our forms for TD Ameritrade. I have to then go back and add the Trusted Contact information to each application manually. This takes time and allows room for error.
I know you don't just "snap your fingers" and have it done, but I hope this request is at the top of the wish list. Thank you for all you do to help us manage so much data. Your work is appreciated.42 votes -
email notification
Notifications received via email provide a summary but no way to click a link in the email and go directly to the Note/Task/Contact record. It would save lots of time if you can hyperlink the Note/Task/Contact record. Currently you would have to view the email notification, log into Redtail, click around to search the contact/task before you can see the details or make any edits
