  1. Activity Privacy Options- change default from Everyone or allow users to change default

    The new Activity Privacy Option defaults to Everyone. Few if any databases are going to want Everyone to see activities or to see colored blocks on their calendar marked Private. That means thousands and thousands of changes to activity privacy display. INSTEAD, change the default to Only Attendees, OR, allow users to change their default.

  2. Contact Permission Checkbox

    When adding Contact Permissions, it would be much easier to select what users/teams need to have permission with a checkbox list than to click "Add", select one, click "Add Permission," then go do it all over again for as many need to be assigned.

  3. Remove Review Date when Client Status = Terminated

    when you terminate a client, their review date should be automatically removed so they stop showing up on the review date reminder

  4. Birthdays Emailed

    Is it possible to have upcoming client birthdays emailed automatically to us rather than having to go into 'reminders' to get that information?

  5. ABILITY TO INCLUDE INSURANCE POLICIES ON CRM

    On the left hand side include a place where we can enter insurance policies (life, LTC, DI, etc) and annuities held. This would show a more complete financial view of client/household. I am happy to submit a template for information.

  6. phonetic field for names

    There should be a phonetic pronunciation field for client names, one for each first, middle, and last name, so new client service workers don't butcher saying a clients name.

  7. Add ability to search email *content,* not just subject lines

    Redtail archives all of our firm's email communications with clients, but it does not make that information searchable (beyond the Subject line, which is not very useful). While I can search my own emails within my email client, I cannot effectively search for other users' communications.

    EXAMPLE: If I need to know if Client A was sent document Z by anyone in our firm, I'd have to ask each user to search their own email client and/or manually review every single email archived in Redtail.

    Redtail should also make the message content (including attachments... or at least attachment file names)…

  8. Form CRS Delivery Documentation

    Please rename the BICE field under accounts to "Form CRS" so we can document Form CRS delivery under the new Regulation Best Interest (Reg BI) requirements.

  9. Contact name should show first for activities

    The name of the contact should be the first thing we enter for a new activity. We prefer to use a simple flow:

    • Who's it for?
    • What's it about?
    • Who's owns the activity?

    When we open a calendar entry, the first thing that shows up is the Subject when the first thing we want to see is the Contact. Also, when our calendar gets full and appointments are stacked, we don't see names. It would be nice to see the client first from the Add Activity screen through the "More Details" screen for the activity.

    Maybe this can be achieved…

  10. Automations - "Added by" option

    We have 50+ users in our database. I would like to automate servicing advisor field based on "Added by" as follows:

    Trigger Contact Added> "Added by" Equals < e.g.Joe Advisor > "Set Field" > Servicing Advisor to < Joe Advisor>

    I currently have permission automations based on Contact Added and Servicing Advisor but Advisors are forgetting that they need to put the servicing advisor to trigger the automation. So using the Added by option would help those folks who forget so it fully automated much of the processes.

  13. Email Notification (Activity Assigned)

    I like receiving team notification emails, however when I received activity that is not assigned to me the email reads "You have been assigned a new activity". Please bring back the email notifications the way they were in the OLD REDTAIL CRM. For instance, the person who created the activity/note name is in the FROM, and the Subject reads, "New Activity Team Notification" (not assigned to me) or "New Activity Assigned To You (assigned to me).   14. Link Account to Multiple Contacts

    I would like to be able to link accounts to multiple contacts. Joint accounts, also trust accounts where the trustees may or may not be a part of the same household. It would also be nice for the purpose of linking a power of attorney to an account.

    I use OneNote and would love it it integrated somehow with RedTail. I see there is an Evernote integration so I am not sure why OneNote isn't an option

  16. link an existing note to an existing activity

    Link Existing Notes to Existing Activities
    Under the Note Actions you can link an existing note to account - why not to an Existing Activity? I frequently need to clean up the data base for continuity and correctness. This would be a tremendous help to all admin users.

  17. Activity Creator should get notification of task completed

    Currently, when I create a task for an employee, I have to list myself as well in order to be notified by email when they complete the task. I would prefer to not list myself because the overview page lists "2 users" in the assigned to box and I cannot easily tell who the task is for (me or my employee). I would rather that you create a preference option that allows whoever assigned the tax to be automatically emailed when the task is completed.   18. Data import

    We really need to be able to perform data imports on our own, to import data for new clients via an upload file. It is cumbersome to have to enter data by hand or to have to email support whenever we need to enter new client data into Redtail.

  19. Track Commissions

    Please provide a report page that shows outstanding revenues that can be targeted, both for Commissions and for AUM (Assets Under Management). This feature will allow advisors to see all of their revenues that they can potentially acquire, if they close all of their outstanding prospective business. Please list Commissions and AUM for each Prospect/Client and a Total for all outstanding amounts at the top of the page. Thanks!
